Very good explanation maul. My widows are short and bushy as all hell, with nodes developing everyday. I plan on a 24/0 the whole grow, we will see how they turn out. Rep +1

Been growing autos several years now...start all under T5HO 24/0 for the first month and then to an hps system on 12/12 to finish. I am happy with my yeilds and energy usage and the ability to run an occasional photo alongside my autos....With my first bunch of grows, I'd run my auto grows on 24/0, 20/4, 18/6 etc........autos are gonna do their thing regardless and the energy ya put into'em is rewarded with bud...and I'm happy with what I get under a strong light 12/12 and tended well....I've had some good little yeilds outta small pots and 12/12 lighting!

these are the lights im using 1 68w cfl(2700lums) and 4 26w cfl(1750lums) in a 2x2x7 closet w/ fan.a friend gave me some bud candy but, im not going to use it until i got the rest of my nuts.

wen i select the mom and dad for seedmaking run i go for 24 hrs of light ,but for smoking grow i go for 18 light and 6 dark the yield is much better under 18/6.
(i always grow under HPS lamps )

I think you misunderstood my point.My point was plants dont see 24 hrs of light anywhere they grow naturally.So expecting a plant to grow 33% more under 24hrs of light vs 18/6 is just based on the % of light received .However the genetic code of the plant weather a land race from Thailand or Canada isn't going to preform all that much better under 24/0 artificial light vs 18/6.

That strain came from all Thailand genes?If not where did the ruddie influence come from?

why you think all auto flowering cannabis have ruderalis in them? i have seen in my early strain breedings autoflowering plants thise strain have no ruderalis in them
i think if you breed very early strains and you breed every time the early ones witch each in the ofspring you get some times autoflowers
it happend with my eirdbei breedings and some old dutch strain from the kush region how do you explane those autoflowers
some african strains ore zamel show also somtimes autoflowering types same as dj F13 and more and no ruderalis

and why you think 24 light bring not more ore les than 18/6 light,
lot of people try it out and most of us find out 18/6 yiel more? meabey it have too do with the dark time for the plants!
and ofcorse it save electra cost$

i think Autoflowering gen is in every canna strain and it comes sometimes out why i dont know meabey a mutation?
but i find out if you breed for extreme early ore take some of the pure sativa that start too flower wen the root speace is full(small pot) and select ad breed them you get autoflowering
(ofcorse i have grow over a 1000 plants each years in my geurillia's so too find autoflowers in thise breeding is easy for me than other growers that grow on smaller scale )

So if I have a 240 watt Blackstar LED, I should start with a 24/0 light schedule and then switch to 18/6 after they sex???
