Grow Mediums Liquid CO2? Is it beneficial enough in hydro?

Sorry to have to ask this in this way but the search engine really sucks at this. Four words and they're all too short, even all at the same time. I don't have time to check 500 threads.
Enough bitchin' for now...

I'm hearing of using aquarium liquid CO2 like API. How is that for hydro, Great idea? Lost cause? If useful, what brands give the best results? Can't afford conventional co2 systems...

Will be using 2 - 30L DWC w/bubblers.
