New Grower little help fellas

Since I have the ball rolling. I think I'm going to stop using RO water I feel thats why I have been having all the micro deficiencies. So should I continue to supplement micro ?can it hurt if I continue to use it as instructed.

I started by using distilled water and switched over to tap for the same reason.

Smart move fellow growers....

.....FYI Humans should NOT drink RO water due to it being stripped of minerals and so forth. Heck I am not even a big fan of DI for drinking.

The great thing about this site is all the wonderful information. The worst thing about this site is all the wonderful information.

I'm just glad I have it for my saltwater tank and didn't waist money on buying it for this

I start out with a 24/0 light schedule for about 10 days. I feel this gives them a boost at the start. Then I go to 20/4 with the autos. I feel I see a much bigger change in growth by the next morning than if they stay on 24/0.

Funny thing is that it doesn't take long of being on a 20/4 schedule before they start getting "sleepy" an hour or so before lights out by dropping their leaves downward.

Yeah I was thinking about changing the lights but didn't know if that would confuse then so I figured since allot of people leave them on 24/7 I would too.

So I set the timers to be off for 4 hours staying today.

Thanks everyone

I'm a noob but my instincts just tell me that they need a rest. I've also heard that it helps the roots more to give the plant dark periods.

I think you've made a good choice. :d5:
