Like us with the bad storm warnings do you just hunker down and pray you don't get a direct hit......?......
Almost…. I go outside so I can see/hear what is going on… if a tornado is in my vicinity, that I can see, hear etc…. I’m not sticking around… I’ll grab Dude and go the opposite direction if there’s time. If not, yeah, just take what comes and deal with it in the moment. There’s public tornado shelters, but they don’t allow dogs…. And I ain’t leaving mine…. Plus, being in an underground shelter with a bunch of strangers is a worse thought than being hit by a tornado….Like us with the bad storm warnings do you just hunker down and pray you don't get a direct hit......?......
Yeah…. Last night while the alarm was going off, I was on the front porch checking things out, and my neighbors headed for a shelter, and left both of their dogs…. Poor thing’s were just staring at me, out the window….Wow...I get it...humans a priority but I couldn't imagine leaving Gus to cope with it alone either......
Meanwhile the only things I had ready to go besides a wallet and Jeep keys, were Dudes to go bag, and his leash…
I think we might get a window in an hour or two
