Yeah it only seems to be if they get capitalized which is weird
 
Do those actually make a big difference. Seems like a lot of tower fans are now also swamp coolers and Ive been thinking about buying one.
Only in low RH…. If it’s humid, it will add to the humidity and not cool at all…

@Mañ'O'Green used one indoors as his ac system in his house til he upgraded to mini split setup recently! He will be able to do a more comprehensive review! Being outdoors if it blows a cool breeze thats not 102 i will be happy! I imagine i will need to refill the ice more frequently but i can live with that!

Again, they are for desert, and other low rh environments… we had them growing up in Arizona…they’re much cheaper to run than traditional ac systems….. but the minute a rain drop fell…it was time to turn them off and switch on the ac….otherwise it gets humid and warm inside. Also, if you run them without a window or two open a little, the humidity will build up inside.
