Oh it is a thing all right, the question is what kind... If yeast is a useful nute, it seems likely to me that it is just another form of compost once the "bugs" get at it. Likely with no more, but maybe less, benefits than any decent compost - IMO, and we know how that goes, especially among us stoners. :pighug:
This is new to me too, but it looks like yeast has a significant amount of P and K, some Ca and Fe, and amino-based N... really it's a lot of B-vitamins- :coffee:
Now I think this is based off baking/brewing yeast, dunno about nutritional yeast (which seems very salty to me)... but man it is tasty stuff! A mild cheesy and savory flavor... it's killer on pop corn with a dash of cayanne pepp'!

Wouldn't this tend to consume the sugars that contribute to bloom?

I kinda thought that so I added a quarter dose of cal/mag during my last feed but its been about 7 days since the and there hasnt been much improvement. I just wanted to see if it would help alleviate the problem a bit but it didnt seem to change anything. That one pic where the leaves stood up is the best they had looked in weeks.

You can do a foliar feed with the calmag as well to get it in the quick. Could they be over watered as well?

Hmmm, if it's alive, but I think once in soil the yeast is gonna get mugged in that "hostile" environment quickly and ain't long for the living world... Nute yeast is dead I think, not "active"....

I don’t worry about such things….. I feed, they grow…all good. I don’t really chase deficiencies, I don’t test dli, I don’t worry about dry pockets, or hydrophobia, and all the other stuff I’m forgetting that I don’t worry about.

Things I do pay attention to…. Feeding frequency and nutrient strength…. As you know I track feed amounts…I also used to track how many days between watering….but now I strictly go off weight, and refuse to feed early…if anything, I feed slightly late (I also never deal with bugs because of this)…. I do modulate the calmg, only giving if necessary depending how the plant looks…

Also, something I just thought of…. I Feed kelp extract from day one on…. And in your case, would even give a foliar feed to see if it improves things. Once I started using it (I use Sea Kelp from gln) it changed my garden completely, for the better….both in veg and in flower…. :d5: :pass:
I also use Sea-K from day one! Its the most soluble and easiest to use kelp product ive used!

I never water to runoff…. I’m in 5 gallon pots, feed one gallon at a time once they’re about 15 days old (less volume prior, about half gallon)…. :pass:
I never water to run off either! In 5gal fabric pots they get between a half and a full gallon when they require it, depending on stage of growth. I dont get lockouts and my plants seem to do pretty well! All my plants get the same feed recipe, regardless of strain, but thats because im lazy, and it works for me lol!
