I got dropped off at my grandparents house while my parents worked for about a year when I was 5 or so. They would watch Lawrence Welk every evening and it was agonizing for a kid that age.

Wasn't Lawrence Welk show on Sunday's?........ At least when they first aired.
If I was with my Grandma, that's exactly what we were watching!

I think the only thing that we liked the same was Carol Burnett. I loved her humor!

Grandma absolutely hated the Three Stooges!


So when there was something funny on TV, I would say.....................

And when she asked me to go do something for her, I would say...............

I'm 4 or 5 at the most!

Empathy and extra Brownie points for doing it.........but I don't care how much you love it..you forget how utterly exhausting it is bringing up babies....

I need to take notes from your playbook, and leave the country. My grandparents watched me during the workweek, my parents watched my kids, and I guess its my turn in the cycle.

Funny u mention she hated the Stooges. I read once that 98% of males love them and 98% of females hate them. I suspect they cant dumby down enough to enjoy stupid like we can, lol.

It was pretty good we did our annual company fishing charter but half the guys bailed so it was just the boss me and one other guy so we all got to catch some fish got a bunch of brown trout for the smoker
