Good news is I got it done in 30 minutes and just beat the rain. Bad news is I have 8 more to do.😁

@Mañ'O'Green used one indoors as his ac system in his house til he upgraded to mini split setup recently! He will be able to do a more comprehensive review! Being outdoors if it blows a cool breeze thats not 102 i will be happy! I imagine i will need to refill the ice more frequently but i can live with that!
Modern evaporative coolers work well and efficiently in a given range of environmental perimeters RH less than 23% air temperature less than 105°F and it will help you survive the heat and even be comfortable. the problem is we spent 30 plus days last year hotter or with higher RH last summer and it was miserable. When the nights don't cool to below 80°F you cannot sleep. Don't get me wrong, I have my swamp cooler in prime working order for back-up in a long term power outage it will run on my generator. They work by displacing a high volume of moderately cooled air so you must let the air out on the other side of the room/house.
