@Mossy is this true? Seems like a great way to lose a lot of power to me. Shutting down the source of 20% of the power for the country and replacing it with things that rely on weather seems like it is a bad idea.
Wonder how many windmills it takes to replace a nuclear reactor. What a beautiful skyline that will be. Will add new meaning to the old saying, not a bird in the sky.

That's why we lost power country wide a few weeks back...... ...and we lost all the phone networks last week country wide....so probably the same reason.

Not being funny though Spain needs to do more with what they have been given.. Solar...

There was a monopoly on electric production until recently...and they jealousy guarded their monopoly.

They pushed the government to shove a Massive tax on solar energy so that it worked out more expensive to generate your own power than buy it from them.

There was also an initiative to cover new builds in solar panels which generated their own power and sold the excess back to the power company...but they just wouldn't pay the homeowners...so it kinda fizzled out.......

So... it's about time they looked at other solutions....but....Before they play guinea pig with us......:headbang:...

I've seen plans to make towns like ours have fields of solar panels around them to supply all their own power...which could be bad news for us...as we are on the farm land between 2 big towns ...:pass:
