Ish, yeah. But it's pretty dirty. Floating around plastic bags and dead bodies and shit. It's quite depressing. I know of a creek that is pretty in the right angle if you wear a ball cap to block of a bridge and wear headphones so you don't hear the traffic.

Is it making any noise? Does it make noise only when turning?
It's kinda hard to tell you anything from what you described. If you don't hear a noise coming from the rear end, then it doesn't need to be worked on immediately. .....edit.....as far as working on the DIitself.
Give us a little bit better description of what is actually occurring. You could have broken suspension parts that make it feel odd when you get on the gas.
When my automatic transmission had no fluid it felt like that. Ruined the transmission too.Feels like the back wheels on my work truck are skipping on ice when I hit the gas. Somebody told me rear differential? Anybody know how immediate of a repair that is? It's a pain in the ass to swap trucks
