Afternoon @PinkyNotTheBrain @Lil Dab 12.30 here...and we are 55C outdoors already....


Girls wattered....... shopping done.....Gus and the vet next..........he hates the freaking vet.......

So 55°C is 131°F, Death Valley has reached 56.7°C or 134°F, no way you are as hot as death Valley. I looked up the weather in your area and they are stating ~30°C as the forecast high so even though your garden thermometer in the sun is showing 55°C that is not your air temperature in the shade that we all use as the temperatures we post. 30°C is a pleasant day here even 33° is not bad for here.

@Olderfart there'z actually a couple diff kindz of empress tree, and they're fairly common here, as they basically grow wild everywhere & are considered an invasive speciez....u mighta missed what i was tellin Mossy one day about em, in that a) they're the fastest growing tree in the world, and b) their wood is very valuable, becuz it's the lightest, yet densest wood there is....in the picz below, u can see my old half-dead pine tree that'z been there for eonz, and the empress jus started growin right beside it 4 summerz ago....as it growz, i've been slowly trimmin away the old pine, to where one day, i'll be able to jus git rid of it altogether, as the empress has huge leavez & will be a great shade tree....mine has already grown about 30" so far this year & this is only itz fourth year of growing ppp

Ya seems more like temps you get if u shot an IR temp gun at the concrete on a hot day! Definitely gets hotter than air temps! People be dropping dead all over if it was 135 out! Or the entire country would be floating in the ocean to stay cool!

All weather forecast temperatures are quoted in the shade.
Yours would be the same in full sun.. ......


My girls are in full sun....not Shade temps...


Today.......in full sun.....

Plant table...full sun....


Now if you wanna tell me if I stick my bum on that table I'm only gonna feel 30C....I'm here to say you are wrong...........


My girls are in full sun...that is what they sit in..not the shade......

Last season highest temp I recorded on the patio was 63C......

well, on one hand, everything lookz big on tv , but on the other hand, ya, they're pretty fuckin big most are about 12" long, 10" wide, give or take ppp

They remind me of the leaves we'd wipe our butt with in the woods, dont know what the official name was, but we called them elephant ears.

My girls are in full sun...that is what they sit in..not the shade.

right....but that duzn't mean that the air itself, or the soil for that matter, is as hot as what that thermometer sez jus sayin.... ppp
