Oh but it will….anxiety levels rise with that type of diet.
I happily gave up my diet, and obsessive way of thinking about food/health etc…. In order to be mentally healthier…..
It’s not like I couldn’t do it anymore…. I just didn’t want to…or see the value in it, other than some type of strange misguided vanity. Even the Buddha rejected asceticism after a time….
They essentially regulate your blood sugar levels, and slow your digestion down. The effects aren’t always positive, though. Some people develop gi issues.
