I used to f-ing love me some nectarines! When i was a wee tyke we lived in Irving and my pops worked at the hyatt regency hotel downtown dallas so moms would go to the big ass farmers market on tue regular and i would always get those to sample! May need to steal one as she gets them to sell at her small little produce table she added at the market! They had a huge produce stand that was 3 tents side by side but hadn’t shown in 6 weeks so the person who runs the market asked if my mom wanted to take it over so she got an extra tent and everything and the first weekend she went to do it they showed back up! She still sold everything but she mainly focuses just on fruit now cuz it always sells out completely! Unlike the other stand she goes friday to get her peaches so they can ripen til Sunday so they are ready to go! Other people they are always rock hard and not ready to eat so she sells several boxes of yellow and white peaches!

He would bark like an attack dog if anyone else even touched the tree while we were in it!

When I was a kid, I had a serious apricot addiction…. We had this huge apricot tree in our backyard…. And me and my dog would climb it, and I would find the apricots no one else could reach….the really juicy and sweet ones that were just about to go bad….my dog and I would sit up there all day sharing apricots and hiding from the world. Yep…. He was a springer spaniel, and always sat under the tree barking at me, until one day he jumped up into the “Y” of the tree that was about waste high or so…. Up to the next one, and would hang out in this crook of three branches…. I’d hand him down apricots. The tree belonged to him after a while. No pictures anymore…. It was the eighties, so no digitals….
