LHD ( also flat bottom)…..

We had a main space fire prior to this, so we were limping to guam on one boiler…. The typhoon blew in, and CO decided not to try pulling into the port with one engine (there’s these long jetties that stick out, that you have to go between….not good in rough seas with one screw)…. So we were waiting out the storm, when the ship took a crazy roll, and some of the bricks in the firebox of the remaining boiler fell down…. They shut it down immediately to avoid another fire.

The ship obviously wasn’t doing great before that…. We were on the return trip of a nine month deployment, with enough time without pulling into port in the middle of it, that we got two beer days without pulling into port between, plus we were well onto the way to our third. Was a shitty deployment (right when Iraq kicked off, we were right next to the Shilo, I watched them launch their missiles at Baghdad with my own eyes)…. :pass:
Everything was stretched then! Manpower, ships and budget!
I can only imagine how that thing rocked and rolled! :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny:

Only got worse from there…. Several years later I got voluntold I was switching jobs and ended up on a year long deployment in Iraq, with a three month school prior, where we were on this super remote base in the middle of BFE New Mexico….

Good Morfnoevight all you TGIF stoners.

Good morning/afternoon everyone :pass:

So I was bumming around amazon when I came across this. Its like those novelty analog soil meters but from what Im seeing, it measures ec and ph and both are capable of being calibrated yall think its a waste of money?

I am not privy to that product but most of the inexpensive products I am aware of are shit. If you buy that do a review on it please.

The forbidden fruit for dinner, I took some insulin.

Press Release / Letter to the Editor

Discussions are reportedly underway about who will launch the world’s first regular cannabis-themed cruise. According to several industry insiders, the idea is no longer a distant dream but an actual competition between operators who want to host voyages dedicated to the best cannabis worldwide.

The concept combines luxury cruising with curated cannabis experiences:

  • Internationally sourced strains and exclusive genetics
  • Onboard dispensaries with expert budtenders
  • Fine dining paired with cannabis-infused menus
  • Music, art, and cultural programming centered around cannabis culture
Mikael, a designer and early advocate for cannabis tourism, has openly stated: “This isn’t just about smoking on a boat. It’s about creating a global meeting point where cannabis culture, travel, and lifestyle merge into something entirely new.”

Supporters argue it could transform tourism in regions where cannabis is already legal, while critics question how international waters and varying laws will be navigated.

One thing is clear: the race to claim the title of first official cannabis cruise line has already begun. Whether it sails from the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, or the Pacific, history may soon be made on the high seas.

"Imagine a cruise where passengers not only relax and explore but also experience freshly grown, premium cannabis onboard. We are proposing a world-first concept: a luxury cruise line offering curated cannabis products grown directly on deck or in specialized onboard grow cabins, sourced and cultivated by the best growers worldwide.

Key Highlights:

  • Exclusive Experience: Passengers enjoy tours of onboard grow operations, tastings, and curated strain experiences.
  • High Demand & Retention: Daily access for 3,000+ customers ensures consistent revenue streams and return bookings.
  • Expert Cultivation: Top-tier growers from around the globe maintain premium quality.
  • Legal & Safe: Operations are designed to comply with international maritime and port regulations.
This concept merges tourism, luxury, and cannabis culture, creating a unique offering that differentiates your cruise line in an increasingly competitive market. We envision an immersive, high-margin, unforgettable experience that passengers will talk about for years.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this proposal in detail and explore how we can collaborate to bring the world’s first cannabis cruise to life."
Shit, sounds expensive!
