What's everyone grateful for today, on this very day?

I had to go do business with the city today and I mentally prepared for the gauntlet. Well I was done in less than an hour. Two different departments and everyone was in a good mood. This all happened before Kirk was killed. Timing is everything.

I did a 35 year career as a high voltage switching station electrician. I had a crew doing live barehand work in my station and the foreman suited me up and took me up in an insulated bucket and I barehanded 138kv. The suit was a lightweight fabric with wire interwoven. First they use a hotstick to bond the suit to the line and then you just reach out and grab the line. Absolutely insane feeling as the current flows around you in the suit.

Yeah I don't remember what the suit was actually, I just used chainmail to get the point across. I never witnessed him working but I know it was the biggest transmission lines in California. I do remember him talking about the energy buzzing around him and that he hated helicopters because he expected to dye in a copter crash.

Aye...if you are up you might as well.... ..I spent too many years lying in the dark wondering if I'd lay for 5 minutes or 5 hours...

Now I just get up...have a smoke.. watch TV...bug @420Forever by coming in early.......

Hubby used to be able to hear the laptop keyboard if I was using the net and he'd hiss at me........but he is so deaf now..and tablet keyboards are silent...I can do as I please.....

Luckily if you have a good neighborhood..they are strong enough to repel the trolls... exactly the same as here.....

I'm showered..perfumed...deodorised.. ..and ready to go down to the beach for 9am...and call in for tobacco on the way back....




Unfortunately... it's 9.45...and hubby is still sitting on the netty reading his kindle............sigh.......

It really really really pisses me off some mornings..just some morning...like when I've only had 4 hours sleep..and I feel like throwing a bucket of cold water over his head..
But I know I'd have to clean it up......and I can't take the drama.... #SmokemoreDope
