New one on me....but Lidls is known for reasonable beef at reasonable prices...so it was worth a try.

Texture said probably a braiser to me...but the packet says the plancha/grill.......

Looks like an expensive cut of veal according to Google.

The veal medallion, in Abrasador's particular case, is a select cut of meat extracted from the most prized parts of the veal loin (hip and rump). It can also be obtained from the sirloin, which is undoubtedly one of the most noble and prized parts of the veal.

That Ninjas Smoker you have should work to cook this HOT with a little smoke. I would cook only to 145°F/62.8°C Tent and let it rest for 5 minutes

Veal is hard to come by in California because of the animal huggers.

Opinions wanted!

While exploring various cannabis cups, I noticed many of them don't have a sponsor-entry conflict policy, which are a terms and conditions clause that prevents individuals with ties to the sponsor from entering or winning, which deters the "pay to win" mindset.

How would you feel about entering a contest where a company also was providing compensation to the event as a financial backer or sponsor, but that company was also allowed to compete?

Especially if you saw that company win multiple awards or categories?

I post this on a few groups on FB and holy shit the replies so far lol... very consistent replies. Curious how our group feels about this.

I stopped believing anything is fair when the baseball season was stopped on strike for money back in 94. It would appear the fix is in no matter how the judging is conducted. Even if the judging is not rigged it is so subjective winning on one day could be loosing the next. That said forget the judging what is in it for you is what matters. Just have fun!

Went and got my Flu shot and Covid booster. I have a book signing and sale coming up in two weeks and will be out in the crowds. I don't want to wear a mask.

Vacuno means Bovine. Medallon de Cadera is Veal hip.
