Good Morfnoevight All of you TGIF stoners.

More tariffs on imported flooring announced today by some of the manufacturers we work with. :cuss:
Did you read that UPS is starting to destroy packages stuck in customs because nobody knows what to do with them and they are piling up. One person lost $127,000 dollars of tea. Also expensive music instruments are mentioned. This is a cluster fuck!

On a more rewarding note for me personally, the Venezuelan opposition leader has won the 2025 Nobel Peace prize    :crying::crying::crying::funny::funny::funny::bravo::bravo::bravo::finger:

Thank you to everyone from here that bought my book, you can count on expert advice from the author :vibe:

Off to fire up the pizza oven. The weather should be perfect for guests today.

Is that crustless bread? Did you cut it off or do you buy it like that. The crust is the best part!

Party party everywhere tonight. I don't know if it's an occasion or just a batch of good speed rolling through.
Speed was the 90’s! These days its meth! ;) :yoinks::crying:

That is true, my ex used to get gluten free bread, theres a brand, forgot the name, but if you dont toast it you'd never know. It takes like 4 cycles in a damn toaster though.

Haven't been here much 'cause Mom went to hospital again. Each time I think its closer to the end.

Day before yesterday she took her last breath. Poetically, it was late on the last day of Full Moon.

She had asked to see one of our dogs and to my surprise the hospital let us bring her. That was sweet.

My wife and daughter arranged an early Thanksgiving dinner and we brought her a plate of home cooked food the day before she passed.

I hadn't seen her with such an appetite in over a year, and she looked so happy.

Now I have to deal with the aftermath of beaurocracy cremations lawyers and an appartment full of stuff.

Not sure how often I'll be here in the next while but my garden is growing and I'll have to start a journal soon.
Sorry for your loss man!

Ordered a piece of 3030 aluminum extrusion on 'Zon, about $70, 20 shipping. Fine, supposed to be about 2 weeks.

I gets an email from ups sayin I owes $47 tarrif!

Homie don't pay that especially after thinking that 'Zon should have mentioned it. I decide to do nothing, let it get sent back and apply for full refund afterwards.

A few days later I get another email saying the tariff has been paid($23) and my package has been released.

So the seller intended to pay the tariff, and included it in the price, but UPS decided to bill both of us for different amounts.

I got the package without further issues.
I ordered silicon hose from China recently on eBay, because poly hose is too stiff for what I was doing. I made sure the offer said that the tariffs were included. I don't know why they quoted it in Australian dollars, it worked out to $22 US all in. It took 10 days to arrive.

Ya amazon was gonna do the same thing and show how a price broke down between cost + whatever tariff was added but people in office threw a fit so they backtracked on it! Also u should be able to change the countries $ amount ebay is showing! Was it every item showing in AU amounts or just that 1?

It was just that item that was quoted in AU dollars. I usually try to order from domestic vendors, especially since the tariff wildcard. Lately US vendors have been out of 1/2" silicone hose, and I wasn't in a hurry, and eBay is good about refunds. Usually Chinese vendors show me the price in US$. During checkout I was able to change it to US$ in the shopping cart.
