The wattage rating is a bit higher than 1,500. I was under the impression that you really do not want to draw more than that from a 120v source with a 15 amp breaker (Not sure where I heard that, but its been drilled into my head for some time now).
120v x 15 amps is 1,800 watts, so that is the mathematical limit assuming you really are getting 120 at the outlet - AND nothing else is loading the circuit. But when you factor in the "80% rule," the limit is a little less than 1,500.
Bottom line: I don't want to trip the breaker when making food with an appliance that will burn 1,800 watts at max setting. Also, that combo microwave/convection oven says it will draw 1,600. Obviously wont run them both on the same circuit concurrently, but even by themselves they sound like they would trip the breaker.
