We all seem to be eating well these days going by the pics. I finished the day with an awesome feed of smoked brisket and cabbage rolls, and fresh carrots. A great end to the week. Hope you all have a great week ahead of you.......stay lit.........
168 grams of weed into 150 caps. 1.12 grams
Per cap. If you look at it that way it’s not so bad. Lol
You can adjust the math or how much oil you add. I started in fooling around with it years ago because of the sleeplessness.
The ethanol extraction and the math formula helped me figure out my dose. I’ve made them stronger as the years go by. Used to make them 7 to 1.
I'm sure I could take a smaller dose and get some sleep but I like the strong dose because it will let me sleep 8 hours or more.
I took my cap at 7pm last night and got to sleep at 3am. Slept till 11:30 this morning.
Being conscious and stoned as hell for 8 hrs ain't exactly torture either. Lol.
Every time I think about making the caps less srtong the little devil on my shoulder says:
I like to start at 80 mins at 240f. Then I’ll let it cool and freeze overnight. Then let it come to room temp and 60 more minutes at 240f. Freeze one more time overnight and bottle it up.
Probably pretty similar in total to what I have done before, but I can't recall for sure. I think I went hotter and shorter - about three times the specs for THC decarb at the temp I was using. I am thinking that next time for vapable stuff I may try 220 for six hours tro try to hang on to some of the natural terps.
My first CBN attempt was in small sealed container, but since then I have learned that THC to CBN uses oxygen, so open air and spread out thin is the ticket for decarbing concentrate for CBN. I now do mine in a small silicone loaf tin. Once the decarb is done, I cool it, at which point it easy to remove with zero waste by just balling it up off the surface of the silicone.
One of these days, I will try edibles again, but for now vaping continues the learning process until I think I know what works consistently.
