Yeah I've been seeing the automated gravity fed reservoir situations popping up more and more. Im thinking about it.

When I can't hand-water I fertigate with a submersible pond pump in a 20- or 32-gallon trash can, plugged into an interval timer. I can set it to water for seconds or minutes at intervals up to 24 hours. For small plants in 3 gallons of coco I'm watering 1-1/2 minutes every 24 hours, but for big plants in summer heat it got up to 4 minutes every 12 hours. I'm in coco, so not too worried about over-watering, I just adjust the time until I get runoff. I do try to check the pH every day, it gets pretty high if I'm out of town for a few days, but at least they don't dry up.

In bloom u should be doing about 20% of container volume in water so a 5gal would need 1gal for example! Aren’t u in bigger pots than that?

Im waiting for more surfactant to arrive. I ordered the stuff build a soil sells off Amazon it was suppose to get delivered Sunday but Amazon says tomorrow now.

Go buy some castile soap from Walmart or a grocery store! 5-10 drops works just fine and its peppermint soap u can up the dose if u have any bug infestations cuz the smell wards off several pests! Its cheap too like $7-8 for a qt bottle!

Those foster farms ones weren’t part of the recent recall were they? I know i heard they had to recall a bunch of product due to “extraneous material” being found in them…. whatever that means!

No, but thanks for the heads up. They were made in the same plant but after the recall. They had wood pieces in the batter. Probably some sticks got jammed in the works and made sharp splinters.

Im using fox farm happy frog tho...its peat. I was doing .5-.75 gallons each plant every other day and they still drying out completely now

I have had Photo plants drink 2 gallons of water a day!
