Live Stoner Chat
Cold day yesterday so we made Chili Soup. Not sure the dogs liked the Dutch Ovens as we stayed bundled up in bed.

Have a good time in your celebrations…

….the rest of us are celebrating International Cannabis Day…

It’s a very good day to be a stoner, from the looks of the alternative :yoinks2::yoinks2::yoinks2::yoinks2:

Definitely prefer International Cannabis Day...:crying:.. #JahBless. :pimp:

I will say, that was one hell of a nice shout-out to the forum and the work we've done here.

And I want to emphasize the work "WE" have done here.

This place doesn't exist without all the moving gears and cogs. And it means a lot to me that so many of you are still here. The right gears. And the right cogs.

Your take on AI and programming is a bit off the mark. Nobody is checking the code. Doesn't matter anyway because its likely stolen from someone else's project.

Medical imaging applications demand the review of an actual radiologist. I do not know of any non-medical application where anyone is checking what AI is spitting out. Hence we have teddy bears asking children what they like in a sexual partner.

The problem is that AI is being pushed as a cure-all for our information gathering needs, which is horrifying both in concept and application.

Perhaps if it were not for the greed of "tech giants" it might have wound up useful. As things are, it is doomed as are its investors.

Digital medical imaging is my career. I hope that aspect survives the bubble that is about to burst.
I respectfully disagree. I know of at least one remote worker in my community who has a full time job finalizing computer programming which was originally drafted by AI, and it is my understanding that a great deal if not the majority of programming will soon be done this way - initial drafting is far faster, and with expert editing, using AI gets the job done cheaper. And getting the job done cheaper (with fewer workers) is the reason for the massive recent investmenting in AI infrastructure and development. Nobody is expecting to make big bucks making fake videos of cute cats, it is all about further de-jobification of the economy. It is not going to go well for workers.

They took a few creative liberties on the bio that I sent them.
After reading your bio it left me thinking, “This guy’s fucking amazing.”🤣
Seriously though that was a nice write up. Please take lots of photos of the samples to share.👍
