Here is my test thread for new the livers and cheese crosses. I Really, Really appreciate @gbd and @mephisto for hooking me up with these fine ass ladies. I have been eye humping these on screen for awhile now.

I threw these ladies in a moist paper towel on a friday night. By Saturday night, less than 24 hours later, Sour Livers was out and almost ready to be planted in her solo cup. She was planted on 2-5-17.

Northern Cheese Haze had swollen up but hadn't even cracked her shell yet. I gave her a little help by scuffing the edge of her shell, loosen it up so she can open up. Within a few hours she was open. She was planted on the 7th and popped up the next day.

These ladies will be grown in a tall red solo cup for the first 5-7 days then be fully transplanted to their final home. A tall 6 gallon fabric container with 3 gallons of Super soil on it's fifth cycle (recharged four times). It is very active and has lots of food to supply these ladies with everything they need. The top half, which is usually 2-3 gallons of soil, is Oregon's Only Number 8 soil.


Today starts day 5 for Sour Livers and day 4 for NCH. They are both doing really good. Sour Livers is really excited to be alive and healthy.

I will try to update this thread every few days. In a few days these will need to be transplanted, then the other testers will get dropped.

Update:

So it's been a little bit since I updated. They are both doing great! Sour Livers has shown sex and NCH is getting ready. Nothing exciting yet but the preflower stretch is coming real soon.


Sour Livers today, day 16. She shown her lady parts yesterday. I'm digging the side branching without any help. Looking pretty sturdy. 8.4c of h20 yesterday.

NCH today, day 15. She was transplanted about two days too late, day 8. Her growth is just behind her sister. Her root structure was really, really nice though. I think she will catch up. She has a little leaf curl going, I think the super soil might be a bit hot for her. She will pull though. She gets her h2o later today.

I will be starting Auto livers and Stilton Special in the next day or two.

Update:


Got all four ladies up and running now. Today I had one Auto livers x NCH and one Stilton Special pop their heads out of the ground. Both were right on pace with normal mephisto genes, quick germination with quick sprouts.

The Sour Livers is starting to flower, started yesterday. She is on day 21 today. She has been getting a leaf tuck for a few days, right when she was getting her pre flower stretch on. She is going to stay pretty short but the side branchng is pretty stout, which is fine with me. She stands 7.5 inches currently, I don't expect her to get much over 12 inches.

She does have some terpenes starting, there is a slight skunky note with a fruit background. It's slight but a great sign for the big funk that is about to happen! I have been wanting something super stinky for awhile. I hope she brings it because I'm ready.

Northern Cheese Haze (NCH) is on day 20 today and is getting ready to start flowering. She stands just over 8 inches tall with a slight gangsta lean going on. She has some interesting development. She slowed down in height for a few days and threw out quad branching; meaning two sets of nodes right next to each other. The next set above did the same. This on the main stalk not the actual side branches. I did notice one set of nodes in the newest growth wasn't there but the leaf was. I culled that to make room for the rest.

She has been getting a leaf tuck but hasn't needed much since the leaves are somewhat squared off, making it easy to manipulate out of the way.

I really dig that, almost like topping herself a couple times.

Here is baby Stilton, I noticed her shell wasn't quite off this afternoon, so I sprayed her with some h20 and within an hour she shed her shell, well mostly. So she started life just a few hours behind her sister. (Shitty pic)

This is baby Auto Livers x NCH, I'm calling her Livers 'N Cheeze. Ha ha. Or LNC for short, much easier to write out anyway. She popped up this morning a little after lights on. So is she is a little more developed than baby Stilton. Looking forward to this cross. (Shitty pic)

All plants have been given water only (un ph'ed well water) with the biggest two getting a shot of humid acid with one watering. They all get sprayed (foliar) with the same H2o every morning during veg.

The girls are doing awesome!! I mean, what else do you expect from @mephisto?


Sour Livers day 26 today. Her lower branches are stout but they were growing a little too close to the main stalk for my liking. So I tied her ass up! I did this on the 1st and she seems to like it. She stands just over 10 inches tall this morning.

NCH is on day 25. She is taller and more sativa or haze like in growth. She is still growing four main branches at once instead of two at a time like normal. You can see where the stretch is after the second set of nodes. Then it's multiple branches. Pretty cool. She stands 14.5 inches tall today.

The little babies are doing good. They will be transplanted in the next few days, by the next update. Stilton had a little accident. Somehow she fell over, I didn't go back to check on them for about an hour. So, I am not sure how long she was on the ground. She lost a little top soil but she seems to be doing fine, perhaps slightly behind her same age sister. This was a couple days ago now.

Update:


The older two ladies are now into their 30's (days). They are moving right along, stretching and stinking. Sour livers is the shorter, faster one while NCH is getting taller and slower. Sour Livers does have some terpenes going on, nothing distinct but cannabis funk. No smell from NCH yet.


The younger ladies are hitting the pre teen stage at day 12 for both, no pre flowers yet. These two were transplanted a couple days later than I usally do but their root structure was right where I wanted it to be, just touching the bottom. They got the usual dose of myco in the soil right before transplant then some fresh un ph'ed well water. They get well water foliar about every other day so far.

NCH day 31, 22 inches tall. Check out the quad branching.

Update:



Let's go with the Sour Livers to start.

She turned 37 today. Her flowers are setting up nicely and getting sparkly. She has a funk but it is hard to really say what it smells like. Just a heavy smelling funk when you get close. She stands a mere 13 inches tall.

NCH is on day 36 and stands 27 inches tall. She is definitely sativa dominant in growth. Her bud structure is coming out nicely too. There is no smell as of yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Stilton Special is on day 17 today. No sign of pre flowers yet, she should show them in the next day or two. Nice healthy growth so far with no issues.

Update:



Everyone is now flowering. All are doing great. No major issues or changes have happened.

These pictures were taken yesterday so everyone is one day older now. Some pictures are edited but most are not.


Sour Livers day 44. She stands a mere 13.5 inches tall with almost all of it being buds.
She is really quick, pistils are already starting to die off. If she keeps going like she is, she may be done in a couple weeks. As far as the terps go, she is definitely smelly. She smells like a Sour blueberry skunk.

Northern Cheese Haze day 43. She is a tall drink of water. She is definitely sativa dominant in growth. She stands 26.5 inches tall. She really doesn't have much for lower growth, it's all up top. There is much a smell to her either, just fresh plant.
