New Grower Looking for commercial auto strain!

This confused me more than a little....so i went to the Short Stuff web site, here is a direct quote about SuperCaliHaze.

What are super autos? | Shortstuff Seeds

"First a ruderalis was crossed with haze special and bred until it was 100% autoflowering. This was then crossed back with a resinuous colombian mother from Cali state and the super auto was then stabilised."

They seem to imply that there is indeed ruderalis in this superauto...So which is it, ruderalis or no ruderalis?

I could be mistaken but I'm pretty confident Stitch has said more than once that there is no ruderalis in his super autos.

If it doesn't have rudi in it then how does it automatically flower and continue to grow rather than veg?

All the super autos have been bred by Stitch. He used an early flowering photo strain as the basis for his supers instead of rudi.

Which is good because rudi only brings the thc % down. But if it doesn't have the rudi in it, you will still have to switch it to 12/12 correct?

No, you won't have to switch it to 12/12. All the supers I've grown have auto flowered around week 5 under 20/4 or outdoors.

Slowly but surely the breeders are breeding out the rudi, except for the auto gene. Potency has gone up considerable over the past few years compared to the early rudi based autos like LR I and II.

Huh. Muddy I've grown the 45 dayers like hashplant and they don't auto. You can clone and keep in veg as long as u see to her needs. Did u clone from super? I thought the super was just a taller auto. What is your opinion on lr 2 s potency?

i assumed they would work it to full auto then bx to the photo sativa then work that to full auto untill they did have an auto with such a small amount of ruderalis they "consider" it none

thats what ive done with my auto og kush the past 3 years , unfortunately i havent completely bred out the natural hermie trait the og has

Hashplant isn't a super. The only super autos are the ones bred by Stitch and sold through either Short Stuff or Flash. I suppose you could clone a super but it would be difficult since the cuttings would be the same age as the parent and will go into flower at the same time. You might be able to take some around week 3 and have enough time for them to become established before they flower.

I haven't grown LR II in over 5 years. I remember it as being medium potency, nothing to write home about. Certainly there are a lot much more potent strains available today.

I know the potential for proper yields with auto's is there.. and yes the potency is reaching a level of par and maybe better than some photos... But as said in this thread.. if you are out for consistent quantity$$$ Photos with out a doubt are the way to go.. I think they are much more forgiving in the sense that you can make a few mistakes along the way and not have your yield greatly diminished as where with auto's you have such a smaller/ uncontrollable window in which a simple mistake can/could be detrimental to final yield and product... But having said that I love the Lil Ladies... I think they are one of best options for small personal grower out to try multiple variety's!! The Choice is urs ! Be safe!

100% correct dude! Autos are like babysitting little spoiled rotten rich children! Instead of just normal middle class kids (photo analogy) haha!

Go photo and clone. Get a good strain with heavy yields that your space can accommodate as far as height goes or super crop the shit out of them!

But I suck at growing so don't take my advice!
