hi all, I am on to my first public grow and first in this size grow area - I have grown in the past in small 2ft by 1ft box.

so, to my problem - about a week ago I over watered the plant. I upped the temps and increased the airflow - this seems to have dried out the soil nicely and the plant is growing nicely. She is far bigger than anything i have grown at this age - 29 days old (about 3 times the size).

she has developed some kind of issue with the lower fan leaves - around 4 of them are like you see in the pictures and the slightly higher leaves have traces of the same.

my first assumption was that the plant had just used the lower fan leaves as food while it was over watered - but since it is spreading I thought I would ask for help.

I am feeding her with biozbizz nutes in allmix. so far she is getting 2ml/l root juice, 2ml/l bio heaven and .5ml/l grow but will up the grow to 1ml/l at the next feed.

Mine started doing that a few days ago around day 16, and I haven't started giving mine any nutes yet. But from what the post says about diagnosing plant deficiencies it looks like the plant needs more N. But I'm still a new grower so maybe some of the vets on here will chime in to help give you a more definite answer.

thanks guys, will check the PH, any idea how I adjust PH up and down organically?

looking at the self diagnosis I would put it in the N category, but the picture also looks similar and thus could be P or even a Cal - probably a combination of a few.

temps hover around 22-24c - and it got too wet not dry - I over watered it.

Biogrow Ca: 24 ppm (mmol/l) Mg 9,1 ppm (mmol/l)
Biobloom: Ca 4,9 ppm (mmol/l) Mg 42 ppm (mmol/l)

That is not N dep and it would be soggy and droopy from too much water. I think Nam nailed it with the PH being out, it looks like the start of cal/mag and maybe phos dep. You can organically raise your ph by dissolving baking soda into your water, BUT use very little at a time and keep PHing as you add to check. For lowering I use apple cider vinegar.

thanks again all.

I have looked around a bit and found a few posts with similar Cal/Mag issues when using BioBizz nutes. BioBizz apparently claim they add Cal and Mag to the soil and a few posts saying that using BioBizz Alg-a-mic stopped the problem.

My waters natural PH is about 6.2 and BioBizz say you dont have to worry about adjusting PH. However I have not checked the PH with nutes added - if it is too low/high I will adjust to about 6.2

brilliant advice on adjusting the PH organically - I was worried that I would need to go PH Up/Dn

hi all, apologies for resurrecting this thread - but I though if the plant dies at least its a complete lessons learned.

so, since I last posted I have checked the PH of the soil with an actual soil PH kit and found it was around the 5-5.5 mark. So I used about a desert spoon of garden lime (mixed well) with a liter of water and gave her that, I also ensured she was getting plenty of Phosphorus as the red stems and leaf markings could of been that. This seemed to have helped in that after I cut the deficient leaves off she didnt get any worse and in fact has almost outgrown my box and is budding really well.

However she still looked ill (in my eyes) - I know when my child is poorly :)

I go to check on her today and notice the tops of buds like the two pics enclosed - I also enclosed a pic of the red stems which are on some leaves (the ones which show deficiency). Only one bud is really bad but the others show the discoloration.

Anybody know where I go from here? am almost resigned to loosing her now since it seems to have been a constant battle since she was born.

What's your PH runoff now? The leaves look similar to my seedlings and my runoff was super low.
