Lighting LowRyder #2 under my new LED Mars ll

Hey all Im in the middle of harvesting the Big female. I thought I would post some pics of whats going on so far. The buds are still fresh but they are looking frosty! Ive also pulled off about 80 good seeds so far, now lets just hope they germinate. The seeds could have used another 1-2 weeks but they still look ok.

Nice! I'm hoping to get some seeds out of my grow this summer. I'll probably makes some clones and breed them, something I've never done.

Its worth it with autos.. Just have to remember how powerful that pollen is.. Its crazy how many seeds the females have.. The beans I have there are just on the outside of the buds where i can get them.. There are more inside but those will wait until the buds are ready to smoke. It is fun but maybe the buds would have been even better without the seeds.. I will find out next time I grow this strain

The light was at different heights throughout as I was experimenting with it. Any closer than 12 inches in a 2x2 space and the light was so concentrated in the middle that it burned the leaves in the middle of the grow area and there wasn't enough light for the outside. I would say 15 - 18 inches above the canopy is perfect!

Sorry its been a while since an update.. Right now all plants are on full strength nutrients and have stopped any stretching and are flowering nicely at 24 inches tall. Since my last update the plants outgrew the space, the shorter bushier plants were not putting on much bud and I was worried about mold with no airflow between plants so I decided to defoliate the two shorter plants, the big female is untouched. The plants are getting light through the canopy now and the bushier plants had tops under the canopy that would have never seen any light so Im glad I defoliated.

The plants are packing on buds now, every day the buds are swelling. I did have to increase my calcium, magnesium, and iron by 30% in my nutrient mix, I was starting to see slight yellowing between veins so I acted fast and you cant even tell now. So as you can see my nutrients are effective and only costs me pennies per gallon. If something needs adjustment in the mix its that easy to do :tiphat:

Those some damn fine looking plants! dunno if this thing works but you sure deserve it!

looking damn nice! and im with u on the stone dragon! iv seen a few reviews lately on them and they seem a little smaller then other dragons? idk much about them,untill a month ago all Iv ever heard about what black dragons,lol...from what i hear there all great strains though
I to have been moving my 90watt ufo down a little everyday but its now at 12" and everything seems much better,dnt see any burning or anything but my girls are little 5 day old seedlings lol...but there growing like champs,l

Thanks for stopping by! I will tell you that this LR#2 isn't the best auto out there and thats why Im looking forward to the dragon grow. I don't know much about them but the pics I have seen are great. Ive never grown any dragons but Im hoping its going to show me what autos are all about. I have grown some of the worlds finest clones but autos are new to me. My best plant is still upcoming in harvest for this grow as far as potency so i will update with some pics as soon as I cut her!!

Your ladies are looking great mindzeye! nice little harvest ya had there! I noticed you said 15"-18" inches away in a 2x2.. see I kept mine around 15" in veg and around 8"-10" in flower in a 2'x1.5' area.. I am actually thinking about purchasing another MarsII, as I have found them for around 200 doll hairs.. pretty cheap and the results are nice from it and I'm about to open up my area to around 4'X1.5' and do a scrog! So far for the two of us the mars II has definitely worked out! Mighty fine plants ya have grown brother! :Sharing One:
