Indoor LSD Auto (Barney’s)

When I see roots at the bottom I peel off the wrapper and plant them. Note that rockwool can be oversaturated. I hand water a few days to establish them.

Pump in the res feeds the black lines. Now it's 15 minutes every 2 hours but that will increase.

Pump in the tent brings nutes back to the res for aeration.

Everything happens fast in hydro. Growth and problems. (This plant was from old seeds so it's slow) I did side by side clones in coco and the difference was profound.

There's another airstone in the tent because of a goof I have backflow and I need to prevent stagnant and disease.

No plant pic today because I lowered the net and she looks like a mess.

I keep tweaking between the dehumidifier and exhaust trying to improve VPD. I've had moments in the zone but mostly wild swings. So finicky.

"smart-tents" are looking attractive but I'm on a DIY budget.

This $20 Amazon Bluetooth meter was a very good buy. Temp, rH, dew point, and VPD. Here's a rare moment:

A Pic but not a very nice one.
She's still looking a little hagred since spreading her out with the net.

She'll get over it.

Dang VPD.....

Full steam ahead

I know. It's a jungle. I'll need smaller hands to help me clean her up.

I am trying to decide whether to raise the net and spread things out some more but after the branch break 2 days ago I am nervous to do it.

6 Weeks today.
The res was almost empty, I only removed about a gallon before replenishment.

Lights-on photos so don't take the colour's at face value.

She's a stinker. That's for sure.

Chasing VPD is hard.

Do you ise blurple lights?
No, not blurples.
They are horticultural COBs. (5×100w Samsung driven at 60w each)

They have a pinkish hue which I try to correct in editing but the pics always end up looking purple.

This company had rebranded to Horticultural Lighting Group shortly before I purchased it.

What a difference 2 days makes.
And VPD is in the zone!

I'm thinking her color is too light. Could be her nutes are too dilute?

pH is 5.8 so no lockout I don't think.
I could add a bit more "grow" but I don't want anything to precipitate.

I'm going to have to defoliate soon. Looks like she recovered from the broken branch so I'll have to get in there.
