New Grower LST vs Letting them grow with additional lights

Thanks for the help already guys.
So how does this work? Can I just keep coming back here with updates and questions?

Cheers

I did not start flower nutrients until they stopped growing vertically. It was fairly easy to see when she stopped. I keep a yardstick in the tent, did not really need it, but wanted to make sure. I figured they need the N as they were still growing.

Typically bloom nutrients aren't introduced to auto flowering plants until between the 5th and 7th week of growth. If you introduce them now your plant will finish faster but vertical growth will halt and full on bud development will begin. Most folks wait until there's little to no vertical growth left before switching them over to bloom nutrients. At four weeks I believe there's more vertical growth to be had and you'd increase your final dry weight if you waited another 7-10 days before switching.

Cool thanks a lot for that. I read a few different things about this but that seems to make the most sense. They aren't showing that they need a change either, but now I know when to hit em with the bloom.
Cheers for all your friendly advice. Wasn't sure what to expect as some sites are full of jacked-up trolls
This one seems nice though :)

Exactly, and that is what make this the place for real answers and great community.

The La Diva is probably just about to stop "vertical" growth.
And when I have early finishers, like La Diva, I will go ahead and start flower nutes with a bit of veg nutes through that last bit of growth before switching to full flower nutes.
I don't bother weighing small plants, but I got about 3/4 of a quart mason jar of dense nuggets from the La Diva. It has a very nice aroma, flavor, and high. I have seen a few larger phenos of it in grow journals.
If I see the strain continue to develop with the larger phenos, I would probably grow it again or if I needed something in 60 days it would be a good choice otherwise it is just too small for my tastes.
Once the La Diva is done get all your light on the Jack, it will reward you with a pretty good yield if you don't rush it.

Hi Gtron

I think I'll switch to bloom nutes over the weekend as it's a quick finishing strain. As the ec went down a bit, I already added 5ml A & 5ml B of bloom nutes to the 20L tank. Not sure if it'll make any difference but it's all learning.
Will switch to proper bloom and a bit of veg nutes on Sunday. Can't wait to see the flowers coming together.

I think my Jack might be in big trouble. The rockwool has a dark patch on it that looks like some kind of mould and the leaves are drooping quite badly. Will get some pics of it later but it's not looking good.
I guess if the rockwool is infected then that's probably that for the Jack.
