Low stress training where id tie down my main stem right? Ive only ever super cropped but heard its not good to do with autos due to veg time. My question is what do i use to tie the plant and what do i tie it to? Im sure ive seen pictures where people appear to use string and the string looks tied to the outside of the pot but not sure what its onto :/

Hi ninja i drill holes round the top of the pot and use thick fishing line or wire you can ducktape bits of bamboo round the pot and tie of them :peace:

cheers mate think ill use duct tape on the outside of the pots. will any fishing line do? got a tackle shop not to far from me that i can visit during the week. Height isnt an issue but of course id like the lower buds to get equal light or nearly as equal...should of just scrogged really but not even lst before so i am getting abit braver :D

LST/Bondage :D whatever you like to call it!!

I start with tying a string around the outside top of the pot, this is the one string that'll hold them all. . Then very carefully bend or flex plant/stems with more string and loop it through your main string (around the pot) to hold it. This is the easiest way i've found it. . I did want to drill a few screws around the top of the pot but my ladies were a few weeks in and didn't want to stress them, best to do it before anything is potted. . Don't think cannabis would be too happy being so close to power tools :D There's loads and loads of different ways it can be done and everyone has their own preference/style. . It is easy though, just don't bend them too hard!!

Some people bend the stalk over and with every new set of leaves they tie down again and again until the top of the plant is touching the side of the pot then spiral it around the whole inside of the pot and eventually you reach back to where you started. . This method tends to bring up several cola's instead of the usual 1. . I wouldn't start that until they're maybe a month old or few weeks just until the roots hold tight. . .

I usually wait until i see early bud-sites and then i bend stems out with the string so ALL bud-sites are in clear view of my light and no leaves are blocking. . Seems to be working great so far:D

Bit of a rant there, sorry dude. . That's just my opinion and i hope it helps, they can bend in crazy ways (they will surprise you) but just be gentle :D

Good luck whatever you do :gthumb:

Peace:peace:

i would caution using fishing line...anything to thin could easily cut into the plant, and if the line is never again moved will certainly be enveloped by the plant. i use wide string, almost like a shoe string and move them a half inch back and forth daily:toke:

Hi guys hope you dont mind me throwing in my :2cents: But I found a roll of twist ties at my local building/home remodeling store
It works great you can cut to any lenght and its reuseable.Probably get it online also...like I say just my :2cents:
