You’re lucky to get crickets. Before I found AFN, I was there and most were Dicks! Q- what are these spots? A- about a pound… Q- is it in flower? A- just cut it down and quit! Anyway this time around I'm firing my grow back up in a 4x7 closet (the space just worked)
I'm running Mac 1 , Pineapple Express , and a Raw Deisel. Working on getting some new fire genetics but for right now I'm hyped to see what the Mac 1 does... running 3 gallon grow bags
With a 70/ 30 coco pearlite mix .
Feeding at about 500 ppms at 6.1-6.2 p.h
Running Technaflora Nutrients full line up
Silica Blast
Sea Kelp
and Supethrive ..we're going to flip to flower in another week or two so I'll just do a picture dump up until that point .....hope the fam enjoys feel free to comment or talk stoner trash ..it's all welcome ....cheers ✌

I've ran the Mac 1 (Express Seeds) before
And it has a tendency to stretch a bit on the flip
It also bulks up.. as for the Raw Deisel and the Pineapple I don't know but I'm assuming the Raw Deisel will purely because it's a Sativa Dom Cross. The Pineapple Is Stunted so she's a Crapshot...you'll know when I know
Second light on its way ...I could've went with spiderfarmer or Hlg Rspec ...but this has good specs and it's about 200$ cheaper ...if it dose well I know I can buy 5 or 6 more and set up this 10x 12 room I'm working on

I'm a little skeptical about that light. First sign is the PPFD chart comparing 20 inches height to 39 inch HPS. You can spot the major spread difference, the HPS has less than a 300umol difference from the corner to center while the carambola has over a 600umol difference. Second is picking the worst 1000w HPS bulb to compare to, a 600w hps would be a more accurate comparison, coming in at ~1000ppf. Third is advertising it as a 5x5 light and showing a 3x3 ppfd chart. This much misleading info makes me wonder if the ppf data comes from a cherry picked light with top bin diodes, the average light may perform worse.
It's probably close to a 600w hps equivalent. I wouldn't try to flower more than a 4x4 space with it. And based on their spread chart, you probably want to hang it closer to 3 feet above the canopy to cover that kind of area. Depending on the price it could be a good deal. 9 or so of those lights is probably more appropriate for a 10x12.
I absolutely agree I'm just getting into Leds and to be completely honest I don't know the umol ratio of what's a good number vs a specific size
Footprint. I need to learn more I've been going off off the color spectrum maps and seeing which ones have a good 3000k Red Spectrum vs lights with a high 6500 spectrum. I need to do more research on umol and Par reading to know what the best rating for the foot print I'm using ...
Gotta HLG Rspec 550 on the way too so if it dosent preform I have a backup ...but I paid 150$ bucks for 420 watts if it preforms minus the false advertisement It'd be worth grabbing a 8 or 9
I can't afforded 8 spiderfarmers or 8 HLGs I can afford 8 of those ...so at this point we're doing a most bang for your buck challenge ....
