I'm a little skeptical about that light. First sign is the PPFD chart comparing 20 inches height to 39 inch HPS. You can spot the major spread difference, the HPS has less than a 300umol difference from the corner to center while the carambola has over a 600umol difference. Second is picking the worst 1000w HPS bulb to compare to, a 600w hps would be a more accurate comparison, coming in at ~1000ppf. Third is advertising it as a 5x5 light and showing a 3x3 ppfd chart. This much misleading info makes me wonder if the ppf data comes from a cherry picked light with top bin diodes, the average light may perform worse.


It's probably close to a 600w hps equivalent. I wouldn't try to flower more than a 4x4 space with it. And based on their spread chart, you probably want to hang it closer to 3 feet above the canopy to cover that kind of area. Depending on the price it could be a good deal. 9 or so of those lights is probably more appropriate for a 10x12.

Footprint. I need to learn more I've been going off off the color spectrum maps and seeing which ones have a good 3000k Red Spectrum vs lights with a high 6500 spectrum. I need to do more research on umol and Par reading to know what the best rating for the foot print I'm using ...
Gotta HLG Rspec 550 on the way too so if it dosent preform I have a backup ...but I paid 150$ bucks for 420 watts if it preforms minus the false advertisement It'd be worth grabbing a 8 or 9
I can't afforded 8 spiderfarmers or 8 HLGs I can afford 8 of those ...so at this point we're doing a most bang for your buck challenge ....

Oh that's not too bad a price, half what I expected. I've used plenty of cheap leds, they get the job done just fine.

HPS is still an valid option too. You can get alot of wattage cheaply with hps.
 
Day 1 of flower
I wanted wait until my second light comes but these girl were just getting too big for this closet.
So instead I did a 24 hour dark period and today is officially the first day of flower. Not changing the nutrients just yet going to wait to see some preflower before I transition into bloom nutrients.

🤔💭Wasn't really happy with the way the canopy looked after I laid the second level of Scrog netting 🤬....so after a smoke break
I cut on Colion Noir tactical gun episodes and got in there and did work💪...
Like the pockets much better and also got under there and gave the ladies thier brazilian bikini wax ...
They was mad hairy lol
Now they got legs like Marilynn Monroe🤙
