HI, this is my second outdoor grow , ive grown outside once before and have learnt alot from that first run. mainly how to control pests, mold, water retention .
i grew mainly Flash seeds, Number one and Nirvana sky, in 20L buckets with compost and miracle grow feed. They got HUGE like 6 feet tall, but i had mold issues a few weeks before crop so they had to come down early. not to mention they needed watering every few days at peak size. this was a issue as all of my water is lugged up in backpacks between my friend and i.
Onto this year.

Ive used a mix of miracle grow all purpose compost and a cheaper all purpose also mixed in some water retention crystals
15L pots and 20L buckets . also as my friend grows in Coco indoors we are going to give these babys a light feed of Canna A/B boost etc.
from my first grow found my biggest pest early on was slugs and snails. this time time the grow area has been literally carpeted in slug pellets and now the site looks like a snail graveyard ;D
other effective methods i found was using crushed egg shells around the seedlings as a deterrent. along with copper tape ( copper tape gives slugs a static shock)

ive got 19 plants out currently all magnum autos started in groups of 10, 4 weeks apart
The first batch of 10 was started indoors and due to circumstances they had to stay inside in small pots a little too long. so long infact 3 of them had started to flower at only 6inches tall :/
however since they were moved outside into 15l-20L pots/buckets they have exploded in size

the second batch went out side at a very young age they were transplanted last week so im eager to visit them again to see the growth. ( will be 2 weeks since last visit)

my third and final batch arrived in the post this morning another 10 magnums so im hoping for 28-29 plants in total.
i can only do this once a year so ive decided to just go all out.

pics to follow ( the first 10 are doubled up into the pots because quite honestly due to the early flowering i didnt expect them to get big or yield alot)

this is the first batch of autos , about 28 days in. they had a bad run starting them off with parents staying , bad weather etc, it was only when they went into my friends veg tent that they really took off.. unfortunately we lost 10 plants due to the 600W light drying them out too fast between feeds

To be honest i think we moved the new batch out too early before they had established a decent root mass. this was down to not having anywhere to put them at home . going to check on them this weekend which will be 2 weeks on so with any luck they should be allot bigger.

Nice! I'll tag along for this, if you don't mind man. Hope all goes well for you buddy :goodluck:

Update*.

been out to see and water them today, we had quite a bit of rain a week ago and a little the past few days so the soil was still damp.
the new ones that went out 12 days ago havent grown that much:( there 18 days old now. i suspect its because they didnt have a root mass when i pt them outside so my new batch to go out will be left inside for 3-4 weeks not 2. ive also lost atleast 2 of them, nd one is very small. the 2 ive lost have been snapped some how one i suspect to the storm we had.

The first batch to go out has done really well, i was worried id stunted their growth too much by keeping them in small potts for too long. but theve grown at a stupid rate apart from 2-3 of them which were the ones showing most signs of flower at week4.
there now 55 days old.
