Mars Hydro 300

What I like with Mars is the addition of some 120 degrees lightening. Vipar comes with 90 degrees only.

There are 3 models that are within my budget.

@witchyhour for how long have you used your Vipar?
Have you seen a harvest under it?

Hard to choose between another Vipar like the one I have or a Mars 300. An there is ViparSpectra 300W vs ViparSpectra Reflector-series 300W.

@Fuggzy and @witchyhour Do you know what addition of Reflector entails?

I don't really know what the reflectors are for, but assume it's to add reflection for lower powered models?

In my opinion, between the Mars (300 or 600) and the ViparSpectra, divide the price per the wattage. Whichever gives you the lower price per wattage, go for it!

I'd go for the Mars, same wattage and lower price. I haven't finished a harvest with it, but I've had two in my veg room and the little ones seem to really like them

My older ladies have also been under 2 Mars300's for about half their lives and they seem pretty happy as well!

I am on auction on Ebay.uk, bidding on 2 Mars 45 Reflector.

This site is interesting, @witchyhour. Seems like the author LED Guru is satisfied with both brands we have in mind. So your adivice is correct...chech the price:wattage ratio.
