Mars II 700w

Anyone know if these are anygood? they use the new 5wled. I plan on purchasing either the 700 or 900.I only got a small closet very cold through the winter and the 600w hps is not providing enough heat.I figured I could throw this in here during winter time and be ok hopefully with a tad bit more heat.

Also the pictures ive seen and been seeing with led's has convinced me to try one out.i think with an hps it will be awesome lol

Instead of purchasing more lighting, have you considered purchasing some sort of small heater with a timer function?

LED's do not give off much heat, surely not enough to considerably heat up your grow area in the winter.

Thanks Chad,i don't need it to raise it up considerably even 5-10 degrees would be preferable,it usualy stay's at 70 but I would prefer it to stay at 75-77 lolz and at night it can approach 60 I don't wanna tell you 55 lolz im pretending it dosent ever do that lol.I do have a space heater heating my room DRYING all the air out, even with the fresh air going in from outside at full power 300 cfm it's rh in there can approach 20%

oooooo tyty cgr I will get in there asap! thx for the link!

I'm using a led made by the same company that makes the mars 2 series your looking at. I'm very happy with my light but it is not the same as the mars series.

If dry air is the issue. You might want to look into also purchasing a small cheap humidification device (a/k/a a humidifier) to go alongside your heater to raise humidity levels while your heater is heating. I've worked with LED's for a bit and didn't notice any increase in heat in my grow room, but it's always best to check out the LED section or ask someone who is experienced with LED's for a 100% definite answer.

Goodluck with your grow mate. Karma your way!!! :)

I have a 400W MARSII and it's fan blows cold air. Almost no heat at all even right up to the glass. If a 600HPS isn't keeping it warm enough I doubt this LED will help. If you're just trying to raise temps a few degrees some CFL might be a cheaper option.
