Mars lighting for 5x5 tent?

Thanks much @Sleeveofauto appreciate it... yeah the more i look around the more indecisive I am lol!!! Now thinking about two Mars Hydro II 1200 for a 5x5 ...seems the MarsII seems to be a bit better, and two of them may give some good yields... how much heat does your 700 produce?. cause the LED I have now puts out some heat but I like that because it helps me maintain my temps..

The Mars II 700 BTU is 1095, Mars II 1200 is 1883

Hi Burr_nit, Mars II 900 in the middle and two reflector 96 on the side that is enough, you don't need Mars II 1200.

I'm on my fifth grow ( ever ) and bought a second reflector. Great lights I think. Got .8 gram a watt the last three times, Not much heat. You'll want a fairly even canopy for stubby plant. I cover 2x4' with a 144

Nice, nice. Not bad at all... Ya, I think I'm going to pull the trigger on some Mars, been kind of going back and forth. But I'm thinking about the full spectrum 900 in the middle of tent, then on the side reflectors during veg just use veg buttons then full go at bloom.

So I am upgrading to a 5x5 tent (probably 9 plants) and thinking about going with three Mars Hydro Reflector 144. (Link below) You think this will be sufficient lighting and yield some good bud? Let me know what you all think? Or if you have any other suggestions.

Hey there @Burr_nit -- all the best for your plans.

I have a Reflector 192 (~400W) in a Mars 120x120 (4'x4') tent.
It's doing very nicely with some herbs. Check my signature line.
Most of the time that's just the veg mode, not flower mode.
That's 400W/16sqf = 24W/sqf, about bare minimum level.

For a 5'x5' tent, that's 25sqf, so you'd want between that,
and up to 40W/sqf. Figure from 600W to maybe 1000W.
The Refl 144 are rated at ~300W. So even 2 to 3 of them
in a 5'x5' grow would be about right.

Just like @Sleeveofauto says, the temps will just be a few degrees warmer than outside.
I have the bottom vents open all the time, and a large circulating fan inside.
For this time of year, it's actually quite nice.

Sounds good. I will def check out your grows. Yeah I think two reflectors on both sides of the 900 or 1200 would be sweet. Think I will start with 6-8 plants under those three lights, hopefully get some good bud production!
