Mars lighting for 5x5 tent?

Hey there @Burr_nit -- all the best for your plans.
If you talk to @MarshydroTina she'll look after you fine!
I have a Reflector 192 (~400W) in a Mars 120x120 (4'x4') tent.
It's doing very nicely with some herbs. Check my signature line.
Most of the time that's just the veg mode, not flower mode.
That's 400W/16sqf = 24W/sqf, about bare minimum level.

For a 5'x5' tent, that's 25sqf, so you'd want between that,
and up to 40W/sqf. Figure from 600W to maybe 1000W.
The Refl 144 are rated at ~300W. So even 2 to 3 of them
in a 5'x5' grow would be about right.

Hope that helps you!

Thank you for your kindness Maria:bighug:

What about not even adding reflectors to the side and just going with 'TWO 900 MARS II in a 5x5?? Or would I have better grows with just one 900 and two reflectors on side? @MarshydroTina @Sleeveofauto @Maria Sanchez @Discretepete2676 ?
Two square panels will make a rectangle foot print so you will b missing coverage on some edges of the tent. Personally for a 5x5 I'd go with 4 400 or 4 700. Or 3-4 reflectors. Let me go to the Mars site and I'll come back with an answer of how I would personally fill that side with their lights. That's best I can do to help I think bro

I'm running the marsII 700 in a 39"x39" when I add the 2 reflector 48's on the sides for flowering, that will bring me to approximately 48 true watts per square foot. That should give optimum, tight buds.

It's my first go, but I've been doing allot of research, taking notes, coming up with a plan. Will see how my theory works I guess. Putting all the energy into only 2 autos. Time will tell....

Ideally I'd go with something like what @Discretepete2676 said:

I'd go with 4 400 series II. It will be 1000w at the wall, 640 USD. Cover your area perfectly with very minimal amount of the edges not covered

It'll be more playing around with your light supports, chains / cables, etc.
but the coverage that way will be very nice and even.
Give you more flexibility in the future, if you change to a different garden set up.
