I somewhat similarly use a Tupur mixture for bottom wicking feeding. I mix 1/2 Royal Gold Tupur and 1/2 Royal Gold Coco (or Canna) and then add about 25% perlite. 5 Gallon fabric bags each sit inside plastic tubs and I feed daily by simply pouring in all the feed the bags can soak up during the feeding session. This mixture wicks and is aerated rather well, with fine roots well distributed throughout >75% of the pot, surprisingly not thickly concentrated at the bottom. I use Adv. Nutr. pH Perfect Connoisseur base nutes (or MegaCrop 2-part) with RO water with no pH adjustment; and get rather good results (despite being a lazy grower). I also periodically add live microbial supplements.

Might I see improvements if I went a little bit "organic," added some worm casings. I presume worm casings are essentially time-release food to support microbial growth in the coco. I presume my base nutes are fully or maximally well chelated and balanced. What might worm casing or similar organic substrates add beyond the feeds and usual supplements I'm using? Are there any risks/downsides, such as unpredictable excesses or microbial growth-related pH swings?

I try to front load my soils as much as possible and rely less on regular supplemental feedings.

I haven’t tried Adv Nut connoisseurs line before. I have used and still use some of their products like overdrive.

Preparing for the next run…

2 bags Tupur
2 bags 8.5L Ewc
5 gal Coarse Perlite
4 Cups D2E BioLive
1 Cup KIS Nutrient Mix
2 Cups BAS Build a Flower
1/4 Cup Bigfoot Black Myco
1 Cup Greensand
2 Cups Gypsum

Put a light layer of Coarse Perlite in the bottom of each 7 gal bag and filled them up. Once this run is done I’ll swap the pots.

Both are supposed to get really big in the 1-2.5lb range. Been wanting to run both of these especially my home boy swerve’s Boss Bogg.

All harvested… pulled the Whistlin Diesel out of the tent and reloaded a new set of 7 and 3 gal containers with the new soil mix.
