Good to have you back and seeing you start another grow @MassMom . I just had some family out here from Mass a few weeks ago. Sure wish I could get myself back that way to see things again.
That sounds great if I can.Thanks for the welcome back hon....it feels good. Im just waiting for the babies to break soil. It seems to take forever!!! If you ever do come back to mass hit me up and we can go out for some burgers and talk growing!!

My tent temp right now is 65-72 and I always have low humidity. So I'll be in the same boat as last years winter grow soon as I restart again in a few weeks.So no sign of the little ones yet. Lots of work hopefully going on under the coco, come on ladies!!
I am a little concerned in regard to my tent temperature. Where I have my tent is not very warm and tent temp is 69. I can in no way shape or form plug in a heater because of my already high electric bill. Back in the day I used to try to get the heat DOWN as my lights were too hot. Now I am wishing I had them back! ha ha. Humidity is also low, so I was thinking of maybe just picking up a little warm mist humidifier. What you guys think?

Thanks for the tag @MassMom. Seems we originally passed like two ships in the night. I had just taken a long deserved break from growing when you started here and when I came back you had just left. Sorry to have missed you the first time, but glad to finally meet you. I was afraid you had disappeared like so many other growers over the years. @Hansbricks seems to have disappeared as well while you were gone also.OK….let’s get this party started!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I moisten paper towels with warm tap water, place the seeds on the towels, wrap them up and put them in a zip-lock bag. I then put the bag(s) somewhere warm and dark and check them a few times a day until the little root tails appear. Usually 24-48 hours. I make sure to put them in a DARK place, as roots do not like light.
While waiting for tails to appear I prepare the Auto-pots. I start by cleaning all parts REALLY good and buy fresh new tubing (I always throw away any tubing after a grow and buy new for the next one). I then place the cloth root disks on the bottom of the pots, place in the airdomes (which I usually have to tape down because the airlines make them move A LOT!) and fill up the pots with just Canna Coco sprinkled with a few teaspoons of "RAW Grow Microbes". I don’t use any perlite or clay pebbles…just coco.
I place the pots into their bases not worrying about the aqua-valves just yet. They wont be needed for a while …..the plants need to develop good roots before I hook up the auto water system. I water the pots initially with 1L of distilled water mixed with 2ml/L Voodoo Juice & 1ml/L Cal-Mag each. I make sure the PH is about 5.8 after everything is mixed. This is the only point I ever check/adjust the PH because once I start using the Sensi Grow & Bloom PH Perfect the PH does not/should not be messed with.
Once the seeds have developed a little root tail (and beautiful strong ones this time around, wow!!) I make a hole in the middle of each pot, drop the seed in and cover gently. I usually turn on a 65W 6500K CFL right above the pots at this point. Some say you don’t have to because the planted seeds underneath don't need light yet, but I prefer to have the warmth on them and the light will already be on and ready if they happen to break soil
I planted (2) Sour Diesel in the one pot on the left, and I will pull the weaker plant at some point. Blue Dream is on the right. Tent temp is 72~ humidity is 25. I may turn on the baby humidifier in the tent once the plants break soil. And that is where we sit of today, Day 1. Babies are safe and warm in their beds of moist Coco.
As for growing again, once you have your setup dialed in, it’s like riding a bike. Your temps will probably be fine at 69°F. My tents in the winter never get over 74° and is usually closer to 70°. If it gets too cold I have a thermostat controlled outlet in my tent that I hook my exhaust fan to so I can shut it off if it gets too cool. You could also hook your exhaust to your timer so it’s off during lights out, which would help it stay warmer.
I understand about having to take a break. Real life has different priorities and you have to do, what you have to do.Hi, and merry christmas!! I had to take a break for a while, but growing seems to be in my soul....I thought about it all the time. I would look at my lonely empty tent and just have the itch to start growing again. My mind was somewhere else so I didnt have the capacity to grow or the energy to put into it, but Im back!! I wish hansbricks would do a new grow. I search all the time to see if he is back. He is a Guru, ha ha.
Yes, I have to heat in my upstairs, so the tent with the light is hovering at 69. Makes me nervous but its the best I can do. I got a warm mist humidifier which brings the temp up to 73..but the darn little thing only runs a few hours then runs out of water.
Glad to be back. XOXO
