I find weed barrier cloth works just as well and haven’t purchased anymore of theirs since.

@davisgirl and @MassMom Take it from Mr. Overwaterer here, the handwatering is a piece of cake with autopots. Precharge your medium, plant and day 5/500ml, day 10/750ml, day 15/1l, day 20/1.5l or till runoff and then you turn on rez. I try to water directly around the base of the plant to encourage the tap root to head south. @davisgirl set a reminder on your phone to open the tent every five days and give the ladies a drink. :smoking:

Pretty much exactly the same autopot start procedure I use and works very well.

now i am confused.

One video says put the copper root control disk face side up in the tray.
The other video says put it face side down in the pot???

I place the copper root control disc inside the pot with the copper side facing down. When I need to replace I'm going to try the weed barrier cloth

It’s a big roll so hopefully you have some other uses for it as well. I use it in my square foot veggie garden as well.

May I make a suggestion? Try watering around the OUTSIDE edge of the pot instead. You want the roots to seek for moisture. If you water around the base of the stem, the roots remain thin and will not fill the pot as fast. Your Autopots are Bottom fed anyways. So if you hand water the edges, it will fill out faster, once you turn your Autopots on all of the roots will head south anyways. Good luck.

thank you slow My ladies are in root riots now, and one is being germed. plan is to put them into COWPOTS filled with roots organics for a while, then transplant the whole cowpot into the autopot. I am going to water slow and easy this time....No pun intended my sweet!!!

I seriously dont think my soil amendment will be here soon enough. I might just have to run to my local grow shop and get some ocean forest to mix with the roots organics for the bottom of my pots....we will have to wait and see how impatient these ladies are to get into their final pots.
