While using LST techniques some fan leafs have broken off from time to time here and there! My QUESTION is does this STOP the plant from growing for a while to repair before continuing on with its growth?
I am growing my plants on my loggia and only have the video from Dutch Passion's AutoBlueberry to compare my babies to.
http://www.dutch-passion.nl/en/cannabis-seeds/product/autoblueberry/
They are grown under a grow light for 20 hours a day in the video while I'm dealing with the worst summer I've seen here in Holland in years. It's funny cause all the plants and weeds are doing great outside for we had lots of rain and litlle sun for a large part of the spring and beginning of the summer. Everything looks big and green outside for it has NOT had a chance to dry out.
But am having trouble knowing if my plants are doing okay or not?
Compared to the video my plants are far behind!!! But like I said they are under a grow light for 20 hours a day in the video.
Still am interested if i have damaged my babies because of fan leafs breaking off which than stopped the plants growth or does that NOT matter???
While tying the top down of one of my girlsa bit to tight made it break off. Even though I have read that it is NOT possible to make clones (Stekkies) from autoflowers I stuck the top in a Spongepot for Roots (I NOW vouch for BOTH the one for Seeds and the ONE for Roots!!!) and believe it or not after about a week to two weeks of keeping it in a small little greenhouse kept in the windowsill and under a living room lamp at night it had grown NEW roots. I was completely blown away as this first time grower! Both the plant and the clone are still growing. The bottom (the plant) is behind compared to the other plants in size but the top part (the clone) is already 22 cm and in full bloom!

I read people stating that u could not make clones cause that the plant did NOT have enough time....
It seems to me that my baby just stopped growing while repairing itself but is growing fine now!!!

Back to my main Question does the plant stop growing to repair itself from a fan leaf or two breaking off or is it only with serious breaks like with my one plant where the top broke off???:break:???

A few fans leaves won't stop production that much. I have broken branches and taped them back on without seeing any slowed growth rate. I am it has some effect but it is negligible.

Thanx for the reply!
Only the one where the top broke off which I was able to save by cloning stopped it's growth for a while. But since my plants seem to be a LOT smaller compared to the one shown in the video on their web site. I know that they are growing it under a grow lamp for 20 hours a day so I KNOW that there SHOULD be a difference but it's such a BIG difference that i decided to ask the opinions of others!

Yes, well if your sun isn't all that great outdoors that could be an explanation. You also have to keep in mind that ther are professionals with the capability of providing everything perfectly. CO2, temperature, nutrients, high powered lights, the whole deal. Best of luck to you Cali! I am sure she will provide you with some great smoke in the end.

Hey man, what up in Holland :stylez rasta smoke:

I keep it with a420er , a few wont do big damage to the growing part.
I think i once saw an articel that says something like there are more and
less "important" type of fanleaves...but not sure anymore

The Clone thing is like the best kept secret in AF Growin :stir:

We have Headshops over here where they sell them for 9€ a clone,
they are is in week 4 , so not long to finishline...
They make crazy money from that ...

On the other side many people say "No Way to clone a autoflowering plant..."

Im pretty sure if you clone a autoflower that the clone will be the same age as mother right?

Correct kush.
