Maybe Nitrogen deficiency? Thanks for your help

..small freckle-like spots? that's early Ca defc.,... do you have some molasses around? 1tsp/qt will speed some Ca, Mg and K in there, and help ease thing until the Ca-Mg supp' arrives! ... yeah, another round of grow feed would be fine, and 1/2 strength will be fine for both,... FF nutes are not that hot..something like SeaGrow 16-16-16, or 5-24-24-- that's hot! great nutes, but must be used with caution, and careful ramp-up of conc.,... some homies I know here get up to 1/2 str. with these nutes! .... alas, those skinny probe units you see at the stores are useless,... I've tested them against the Accurate 8 soil pH meter, which works on the same principle, but is far better built! Nothing beats an actual in-soil pH measurement,... I dislike the run-off method because there are so many potential sources of measurement error inherent in it,... it'll pay for itself in short order, trust me! ...dose with the Ca-Mg as instructed on the label!

Thanks Waira ...ya got molasses...will give the girl some tonight...the accurate 8 looks a lot beefier than the wire jobs that one usually sees....can it be calibrated?....if so how often do you calibrate?..I see them on amazon...not expensive at all....the run off method does seem like a lot of work and lots of variables that can effect a reliable reading..I will ramp up to 1/2 power on the FF tiger bloom this week..cheers mate

:smoke:no need for calibration on them, just keep the metal tip and shaft clean with the scrubby pad they provide... these work on measuring the current/conductivity differences between the two types of metal, facilitated by the soils free ions,... A8's have a nice built in moisture meter as well! Now, it doesn't replace a liquid pH testing meter, it's not made for liquids at all-:check: ... another handy meter to have is a TDS, or EC... to check water hardness--and therefore buffering capacity,... and to measure how conc. your nute' solutions are if needed,...generally more of a hydro/coco thing, but it is certainly possible in soil to get too heavy handed with all the stuff you mix into a batch of nutes! ..meaning, don't put the whole kitchen sink into a batch, and risk potentially overwhelming the roots with stuff, even if it's ok pH! For example, I stagger things...fert's, Ca-Mg, and 1-2 other things like humics, or molasses, in one batch,... next time watering, maybe with I'll add silica, Superthrive, Big Bloom (very very mild NKP#'s; I treat it like a supplement, not a true fert'),... you get the idea! Clear waterings have their place too, don't get me wrong... ...simple EWC teas are always good! Most bags have instructions for mixing one up....usually like a cup or two of poops into a gal. of water... I add molasses and BB into this as well to feed the herd and boost #'s, and the bubble it for a day, or overnight,...then serve it up, using the remains as a top dressing! --girls dig it! :roflcry:
