Hey everyone, first post on here (was on rollitup.org), growing 2 Med GOM's and 1 Biodiesel Mass.

I was paralyzed a few years ago (during my senior year in college) and THC is legit the only thing that helps me manage my neuropathic pain (which gets crazy every day), so I grow only for me. I majored in computer science and I def can't program after smoking, but my pain never takes a break so I'm hoping a high CBD strain will really help with this during the day.

My grow setup is a cabinet that I lined the inside with mylar, I have 3 PC fans for air exchange, a clip-on fan pointed right at the bulbs. I have two 125w CFLs, for vegging I have 6400K bulbs and 2700K for flowering. Because it is really hot here (especially now) in southern Florida, I run both bulbs at night and only one during the day...essentially 24/0. I have both of the Med GOM's in a 5-gallon geopot and the BD in a 3-gallon pot.

For this grow I do not plan on using any nutrients...using distilled water with 1 teaspoon of CaliMagic...possibly just a little molasses the last week. sorry this has been so long

Today is day 24 from germ. Here are some pics

Looking good man!
I would personally add some flowering fertilizer as soon as you see the first pistils, just to make sure to pack on some weight..
I would also try to put those CFLs progressively closer to the tops, when dealing with such low wattages you get the best results from extreme closeness. I use a similar setting and during flower I keep the tops straight inside the reflector, at less than 1 inch from the bulb.
I am also against 24 hours cycles but well, it seems to work well for you... :smoke:
Just subbed, looking forward to see your next pics!

Hey Buddy.ya may want to address the Clear Cups your using.Light messes up Root growth and causes all kinds of havoc believe it or not. Before they get bigger ya may wanna cover them with paper and Tape, paint them with a latex White Paint or something to cut the light off from the sides.Nice looking Starts ya have goin on man!!

Thanks. What I am doing is when I only turn 1 light on I lower the light/reflector to be really close. Which fertilizer(s) would you recommend? I've read that some auto's (especially the med GOM) are hyper-sensitize to nutes...

I have both the med GOMs in one pot as they were looking similar (growth wise) but over the past few days one has rapidly grown while the other has not...one med GOM and the biodiesel are looking really well

Autos don't need a lot of fertilizer, you normally start with 1/4 the recommended dosages and hardly give them more than that.
I have no favourite fert I must admit, but I would go for both a flower fert and a booster (personally I add wormcastings to the soil at the beginning, then give small dosages of Terra Flores and Canna Boost and get good results).
..but as fertilizers are always a hot topic I bet you will get better advice from the others..
:Sharing One:

I am going to switch them to a 16/8 cycle in the next few days. I lowered the lights so that they are within a few inches of the top. which now keeps the temps down below 80.

the biodeisel one is gowing like crazy, I had to tie it to a stake earlier (with just yarn)

Eof-I'm going to have to disagree with you on this. I started cloning my photos in the 1980's and still did until I slowed my growing way down and just started growing a few autos a couple of years ago. I always used clear cups for my clones because I wanted to see the root development before I transplanted. Not once did I have a problem and I would do it again today. If the roots are well nourished and not allowed to dry out or let air hit them they will be just fine. I know this will be controversial but I've been there and done it. Pipes:peace:

That is the exact reason I choose to start my plants in clear cups, so that I can see the root development to know when they MUST be transplanted. I've done this for the past 3 grows and haven't had an issue thus far...

I honestly believe that you and me are the only 2 people in mj growing community that does it his way. LOL:peace:

Where did you guys hear about the Med GOM being sensitive to nutes? There are plenty of grows here with autos that can take over 2.0 of EC. I´m thinking of trying out the Med GOM myself.
