Hey guys,

For anyone interested just thought I'd share a little info quickly on our 5th Spannabis.. how time flies!

This year we took the ultimately mellow approach, in previous shows we always took seeds, goodie bags you name it, in order to show people what we're about. But this year we've been so busy in general we just opted to catch up with familiar faces and be the weed fairies for those people without the need to peddle anything - although of course you inevitably always make a good new contact or two.

As our network of contacts grows, it's actually quite difficult to find time to have a good natter with everyone.

Lots of fun though!

New product idea - Mephisto beer mats :D

We took third place in an Alphacat testing cup for Sour Blues - actual thc recorded was low at 14,4% - I don't know what came first or second but a lot of samples were submitted and perhaps everything across the board tested low

Over the years we've gradually become friendly with Nigel from Canna who does the sample analysis at their stand.
They get hundreds of requests to test samples at the fair and you have to be an early bird to get on the list as I think they're limited to about 50 tests per day. So it was very nice that he could do 4 for us (not being early birds)
Being a bloke from northern England he really liked the Northern cheese haze - top guy anyway

Northern cheese haze tested at 21.07%
Double grape tested at 21.78%
Sour Stomper tested at 18.36%
Skylar white tested at 16.5%

Anyway short but sweet, unfortunately I didn't take many more photos.

Cheers Mitch

My cured Skyrone Stomper is a very heavy 18%. Was never into what the THC percentage is when picking beans, but looking at the numbers, I'd say it's correct if not a bit higher than 18%.

Got another breeder's beans going now. I miss my Mephisto Genetics. The best.

I need better glasses. The test was for Sour Stomper not Skyrone Stomper. My bud is in the 20 percent. My tolerance for weed is high. Most bud that I've grown have been great, but the Skyrone Stomper is killer.

There's always a lot of factors involved and thc shouldn't be the be all and end all. Flavors, terps the nature of the high, and also importantly the way the plants grow.
But I was super stoked with a couple of 21%'s, and the nugs weren't cherry picked just straight out of the bag we were sharing around.

All in alll, good times :D

I would like to understand this fully (mainly because I fight like a wolverine online for Auto's). Leave it to me to over think something simple but, what did you submit Mitch? The Photos that you all work with, or are these the numbers for your Autos? Can't tell if you wish you took more pictures, or if you wish you took more strains.
I really got into it online with a guy (who sells Fems) and was saying some really inaccurate things, and after explaining why Autos had a bad name, and how real Auto's are being made today, he seemed to come around to at least entertaining the possibility that there's good Auto's out there.
I offered him some beans but no response yet. Proofs in the Pudding ! :jointman:

Either way, Bravo :weed::clapper::weed: Looks like I'll be plugging a Double Grape in my next available bucket.
