Mephisto Genetics Mephisto catalogue originals line change up - what do you guys think?

The idea will be to have a really balanced catalogue eventually,
A couple of really nice og based strains, some nice indicas, nice sativas, some U.K. Strains, some cbd's, some outdoor specials and then some fire stuff inbetween

That's the idea we're working towards anyway but of course it all takes time!

Cheers Mitch

Mephisto cbd... I'd love to see this.

I'd say keep Sour Bubbly, that strain is killer!!! Besides that, who wouldn't love to explore new and better strains!

I think if you crossed GG#4 and Cookies with one of your stud males, that eventual final result could easily replace a couple strains you're contemplating dropping. Those strains each on their own (hype aside) are very effective for the community. If you guys made a gorilla cookies offering, IMHO you all wouldn't be able to keep that strain in stock. I'd drop Triangle.

In business if you have too many options and no easy way to sort out which is best for them, the customer gets an info overload and walks away confused.
The mephisto website has a lot of that going on IMO.

A family tree diagram would help immensely.

I do think you need to push some off. Maybe release some classic strains in a couple years.

The ones you take off the list could still be used to meke photoperiod strains auto. I think that will help people feel they are not buying the same strains over again just crossed with something on the list already.

Something I've been pondering:

At some point, there should be a reconstruction on how the strains are separated on site.

From a consumer standpoint, if I were to pick a seed line from the site that I would be interested in, what would be most likely the first choice? The Artisanal line. Why? Because it's promoted as having the most HQ genetics and final results compared to the others.

Now, I'm being general and I feel most of our AFN crew will look through all of the lines, as did I.
The Classics & Limiteds are representations of older @mephisto work, which at one time WAS the pinnacle of their accomplishments. But times have changed, as Mitch mentioned.

I feel a way to make all of the lines on the same playing field in terms of lucrativeness sometime in the future would help. To merge the various lines in a way that doesnt emphasize quality difference.

We live in a marketplace where "Artisanal" anything programs us to believe it's a better product, which increases impulse selling. It's a wonderful marketing word, but the natural consequence is the decline of sales on "Standard" products.

All of that being said, @mephisto is a fucking wonderful company & shall ye prosper more and more - I can't WAIT to see what's around the corner.
