Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Genetics Micro Grow.

Final dry weight of Toofie. 24 grams.

A bit disappointed in the weight, but she was a little girl and she put out some nice sweet buds. Took a vape of a small bud last night before going to sleep. About the best bud around. Nice head high at first, not a weighed down feel. After awhile the body stone came on. I like to vape sometimes with no distractions. A quiet room with maybe the only sound is the exhaust fan on the SuperBox. I really enjoyed the stone. Not cured yet and it has a nice punch. I'm happy with the grow and the results.

Toofie is jar curing now. Need to keep the lid off for the night and then it's adjust the times of open and close the lid until it gets to the right moisture content @ 60%-65%

Getting ready to start another rMephisto Genetics Micro Grow. Doing one Auto Blues and another Toof Decay. I'll just drop the beans in the Roots Organic. Planning of adding 1TBS Epsom Salts and Lime to the soil. Read that the Epsom salts is beneficial in seedling growth and the lime will do what lime does. They'll be in one gallon SmartPots. I'll get it all set up by August 1st.

I'd like to do a Coast of Maine soil grow, but I need to use up my Roots Organic first. CoM will be my next soil choice.

Going to keep the grow on this thread. I'll be doing the same SuperBox and all the other things that I did on this Toofie grow. No need to start another thread.

Mephisto Micro Grow Part II starting August 1st.

This is fantastic news! Don't you just love the Toof Decay? I think I'll always have to have one hanging around somewhere... Super happy to hear you'll be trying the Stonington soil! Can't wait to see another BayLee special micro grow! I'll tune in for sure. ;)

I have tomorrow off. I'm going to start the Mephisto Micro Grow Part II. If the beans are like the other Mephisto beans they'll pop on the 1st week of August. As usual. I like to start my grows on the 1st of the month or the Full Moon. Although I've heard that the New Moon is the best time to start any grow.

Will post the whole start up and hope for the best.

Note:

Folk Festival is over and the smell of patchouli has wafted across the Bay. This weekend is the Jazz Festival. From Prius' to BMWs' all in less than one week. Oysters are on me for any AFN member. Come on down and enjoy.

Wish I was closer.

Started the Mephisto Micro Grow Part II. In SmartPots "A" is the Toof Decay and "B" is Auto Blues. Added 1 TBS of Epsom Salts and Garden Lime to the Roots Organic Soil. Epsom Salts is helpful in the seedling stage and the Garden Lime is what lime does in helping keep the pH in control. Watered the SmartPots thoroughly with plain water pH'ed around 6.3-6.5. Pushed a pen 1/2 inch or so into the soil and dropped the beans. No pre paper towel soak. If the Mephisto beans are like the other Toof Decay beans it should take roughly four days to pop. That should be the 1st of August. I'll put the SmartPots in the SuperBox with 42w "Blue" spectrum cfl from the start.

Wow! St Louis Style Full Rack Ribs on sale at Daves. Gotta get me some.

Liebig's law of the minimum. It states that growth is controlled not by the total amount of resources available, but by the scarcest resource (limiting factor). It was found that increasing the amount of plentiful nutrients did not increase plant growth. Only by increasing the amount of the limiting nutrient (the one most scarce in relation to "need") was the growth of a plant or crop improved. This principle can be summed up in the aphorism, "The availability of the most abundant nutrient in the soil is only as good as the availability of the least abundant nutrient in the soil." Or, to put it more plainly, "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.".........(Wikipedia)

That's the reason of using Epsom Salts. Commercial fertilizers all contain NPK numbers, showing the value of the Macronutrients Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium, the most plentiful nutrients available in the soil. In addition to N, P, and K, plants require the macronutrients sulfur, calcium, and magnesium, as well as, the micronutrients, Chlorine, Boron, Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Copper, Nickel, and Molybdenum, a metal necessary for nitrogen fixation. Epsom Salts is Magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is a key element in the center of Chlorophyll molecules. Without enough magnesium, the plant can’t produce chlorophyll (green pigment) needed to photosynthesize light into energy and food. Magnesium can be depleted in soil, especially in containers growing magnesium-hungry plants like cannabis. A magnesium deficiency can be identified by yellowing of the leaves, while the veins remain green. Epsom Salts are also highly water soluble, making it readily available for plants to use.

Adding a little Epsom Salts to the soil gives the seedlings a good chance for better roots and a nice green look from the start. Then a few doses during veg and flower.

Feel relaxed about this grow. I don't know why, but I feel this Mephisto Genetics grow is going to be as easy as pie.
