Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Genetics Micro Grow.

MGMG Part II Toof Decay and Auto Blues are back in the SuperBox after three days in the sun. Had a major weather event (how PC is that) this week. They seem a little disappointed that they aren't getting that full sun. Watered them this AM with 1/2 tea Root 66 and Thrive Alive Green. They'll come around in a few days. Adjusting to the full spring cfls will take some time. They are a week old today.

Lookin nice man, and I can tell your using the same smart pot brand fabric pots. They always get all squiggly on the edges of the pot after its first use. I found a brand that hold up better, but I think the smartpot brand dries out faster. They are still awesome pots though =).. Cheers brother.

I have a three gallon "SmartPot" from another company. I don't have it's name off hand, but it's stiffer and seems less porous as the fabric weave is tighter. I like the S/P. Not having the space for a bigger size containers. I can use two gallon S/P tops in the SuperBox.. The air pruning is so helpful. The Mephisto Toof Decay went 60 days then a week of flushing. The one gallon S/P were more than adequate in keeping the roots healthy and full. I feel in my micro grows and really getting 60 day wonders in genetics. The S/P or fabric containers are the way to go.

Yea, I have another brand Im using as well. Its stiffer, and more durable. Though, less porous for sure. I like the fabrics I got from this other company..but those S/P pots are actually really nice. Still using mine atm. Hope you didnt think I was bashing them. Its just the first time Ive seen someone on here with them, other then me. I don't browse all the grow sections though. So, that is probably why.
Cheers my brother. :pass:

I believe the roots like the porous fabric of the SmartPots. My grows have all been in SmartPots. The fabric is designed to air prune and the fabric needs to softer so it's easier for the roots to be healthy. I should take a picture of the root ball when this grow is finished. Just a note too; the roots actually don't "ball" up. They are full, but not a tight knot of a twisted ball. Air pruned roots just keep growing w/o any root bound problems. The stiffer style fabric pots just can't do what the softer S/P can do. Actually, the more I use them, after a good washing of course, they seem to do better.

Warm days, cool nights, plenty of fresh air, adequate food/water will give anyone a great grow. Good genetics do help.

:greenthumb:love what you do Neko. Thanks for chiming in. I try to scout the AFN threads, but I just keep a small circle of growers in my sights as well.

Just noticed that we joined AFN on the same day, but a year apart. March 9. :pighug:

Hand wash SmartPots. Soak in mild detergent and then scrub with a laundry brush if necessary. Rinse well and air dry. I've reused the SmartPots for many grows. They seem to work better if the fabric is softer.

Lucky I am single... dirty smartpots in the washing machine could be a marriage disaster.

Apparently I am missing the home economics gene. C'mon fess up, half of AFN uses smartpots and I am the only grower dumb enough to put them in the washing machine? But I wanted them really clean!
I suppose I am the only guy who looks at porn too? Billion dollar industry, I'm the only customer. :crying:
