Just got my super soil, water only mix. Going to plant my new strain from them. Not real sure the exact name but Mitch told me it's a chem dog Walter white white cheese and maybe something else lol. had anyone used this super soil yet and have any advice or tricks. Maybe some pics. I plan on using creek water and adding some calmag only.

Good morning @atticassason :coffee:
I believe the strain you speak of is White Chem:thumbsup:
As we have spoken before in regards to the MASS, I'll post my info on it's use so it may help anyone else that's running it.
I generally run 3.5gal+ airpots with the mix.
I fill the bottom 2/3 with the mix blended in my soil. I use Roots Formula 707 primarily, and occasionally Roots Original.
I mix it @ 2tbs per gallon of soil.
As far as feeding goes.. The only additives I'm giving are O.G.Tea Veganic Special Sauce,Kelp and molasses.
I add Molasses maybe 3 times through their life. Feeding the microbes:thumbsup:
I do alternate with water, tea, water, tea...

Hope this helps:pass:

Yes thank u so much. This is the type of info I'm looking for. I guess this stuff is so new that it's kind of a learning curve for most. I was worried about feeding autos nutes as this us my first time ever trying them. I figured this route not only will be safer but taste a he'll of a lot better.

I add the molasses at the beginning, in the middle and a bit towards the end.
Each plant is different so I adjust accordingly.
As far as brands go..
I'd try to source something made locally.
Brer Rabbit Blackstrap is one I have used that should be available everywhere.

RE Kelp: I add the kelp to the tea mix:thumbsup:

Thank u. I really appropriate it man. I'll keep u posted on my first ever auto grow.

2 questions. Do you have a journal on here where you used the supersoil mix?
You said u add 2 tbs per gallon of soil, so roughly how many tablespoons come in the pack?

I've just received a packet. I plan to use coco coir, following the directions provided (until instructed otherwise). I've only ever done coco/hydro, so soil is totally alien, new, to me.

A few questions:
1) 2 tablespoons/gallon: Is this a leveled tablespoon (14.7 mL volume), or a full(er) normal spoon-full? Would it be more accurate to measure out the soil by weight? If so, how many grams/gallon?

2) Watering: How is it done? Should I do say ≥10% drain-to-waste/run-off or is drainage to be avoided, with this washing out the nutrients? If there is drainage, should I pour that back on the soil? Or is bottom feeding best?

3) Are dry-wet cycles desired? As with coco coir/perlite, should I let top layers dry out and/or the pot become light(er) before feeding? Or is a single daily feeding best? Or are multiple daily small feedings best?

4) Ronin filled his pots with 2/3s soil mix, not the recommended 1/2. I similarly plan to use approx. 3.5 L pots. Should I essentially assume that the amount of super soil mix used should be comparable to that used in say a 5 gallon container (presuming that is what is needed to support a monster plant throughout its life)? Am I short-changing, cheating, underfeeding, my plants if I use the recommended 1/2 filling in less than 5 gallon containers?

5) Regarding the pot/container to be used: If I use a plastic wastebasket/garbage container, how many and what pattern of holes should I drill in it? Should only I drill holes above a certain level, such as 1 or 2 inches, to allow water to collect there? Or do I want holes lower, even on the bottom to assure full runoff? How many holes and what pattern should there be (such as more towards top or bottom)?

6) Water: Should this be pHed? If using coco/perlite, do I pH to 5.8? Or even though I'm using coco, does super soil need soil-friendly pH --if so, what pH?

7) Nutes: Is it OK to selectively use some additives, such as Bud Igniter, Bud Factor X, Terpinator, etc.? If I don't add worm casings, I presume I can supplement with any of the usual microbial supplements, e.g.., Voodoo Juice, Great White?

It's hard to tell exactly how much comes in the pack. But one pack will do a 1.5 cubic foot bag of soil.

@BCrisis420 the only documented grow I have is the Grape Crinkle using the MASS.
I have since run 4-5 other plants with much better results.

@BII Check out GBD's SuperSoil Test Thread for info regarding usage with coco.
If memory serves me correct Briman used coco with his test run:pass:

RE #1: 2 Tbs leveled out.
RE #2: Regarding watering: I can't offer advice as I'm not in coco.
RE #3: I prefer to term it wet and moist cycles.
When the medium dries the microbes die.
I try to keep the medium moist at all times. I gauge waterings/feedings by weight of the container.

RE #4: I do the 2/3 mix as GBD made the mix to work in conjunction with Roots Original soil.
I use Formula 707 which is not amended with as much as the Roots Original.
My thoughts are by adding more to the mix I have upped the 707 to equal the Original.
This all works well in my environment, which may not work well with everyone's. Caveat Emptor.

RE #5: I use Airpots exclusively. As far as I'm concerned, the more holes the better:thumbsup:

RE #6: I can't add anything here.
I run organic so I never ph anything.

RE #7: I have no experience with the BI,BFX, or the Terpinator so I can't help there.
I do recommend using microbial innoculants and supplements.
Keep a healthy grow medium and your plants will love you for it.

Hope my ramblings may help:cheers:
