Hi, new here. Building a Micro Cab. I have 2 x 240v 120mm x 120mm axial fans

Voltage rating: 220/240v
Freq 50/60Hz
0.09/0.09amps
19/19w
Speed: 2150/2500 rpm
Air Flow: 66/80 CFM
Noise: 44/48 (dB(A))
Weight: 295g

And was wondering if i should use them as a double exhaust with passive intake and if so, what size the passive intake should be? Or should I go with 1 exhaust fan and 1 active intake fan? It would also be helpful for suggestions of best fan placement in the cab, intake isnt possible on the floor as my cab fits 4 x 8l root nurse pots covering all of the floor. Also running 300w Marshydro 5w chip led, if that makes a difference?

Cab itself seems very nice. I would go with all passive intake, but I wouldn't use PC fans. They can't handle a lot of pressure. You can use them for air exchange but pretty much nothing else. If you need to use some kind of filtration I'd suggest getting a proper duct fan. Just throwing it out there since it isn't obvious from your post if you know this already or not.

Passive intake should normally be a bit smaller than what the exhaust is capable of pumping out so that negative pressure can be maintained. If you really don't need proper odor control (You can use something like ONA but never rely on it unlike a carbon filter) then you don't really need to think about the pressure stuff. Just make sure the intake hole is about the same size as the exhaust (You should preferably still make it smaller rather than bigger. Probably.) since you're going to get smells anyway.

Container size might land you in trouble if you're not careful (plants could potentially grow too big). You're going to need some distance between the light and the canopy to avoid bleaching and heat-related problems because I'd imagine those 5W chips put out some heat. I would personally cut down on the height of the pots. Less roots, smaller plants. Less height, more room to grow.

I'm not an expert in any of this and I'm not sure if you've already given up on this forum/thread but hopefully I'll get to witness the fruit of your labor some day. I'll be here to answer any additional questions you may have to the best of my abilities. Good luck with your efforts in any case!

EDIT: Here's a link to my first indoor grow. It could provide some useful ideas https://www.autoflower.org/threads/extremely-low-budget-grow-40w-delahaze.36247/
You can also check out my current grow (signature) to see where I'm currently at with the cab.

Hey Wienerwoods, thanks for the welcome and lengthy advice. The fans are not PC fans they're 240v industrial axial fans normally used for refrigeration and can shift some air. I'll be using activated carbon filter sheets and clip on fan covers so that's gonna reduce the exhaust air flow a little, hence using two exhaust fans. I've decided to use a 3rd fan for intake to get some air flow around the height of the pots and plants instead of using a clip on fan for air flow if this makes sense?

shelves staying ?
Nope shelves not being installed. Gonna use hooks attached to the roof and keyrings attatched the mounting points on the top of the leds so that the leds is as close to the roof as possible and as far away as possible for propagation and seedlings then use ratchets to lower the leds to the desired height during veg and flower. Ah. I see you know your shit. And looking back it was pretty obvious, too... Well, no harm in trying to help a fellow out in any case.
As for the air circulation, I'm pretty sure what you intend to do will be sufficient for replenishing fresh air. Not much in the way of stem workout but you may want to do some LST anyway.
Great to hear back from ya. Be sure to keep us updated!
