New Grower Microwave's 2nd LED Grow - Purple Kush

Day 40 from seed ~ What I've noticed is that she's putting on more weight and at a quicker pace, has developed a really pleasant fragrance, and some of the pistols are starting to turn amber.

Hi Micro, i've just ordered a 120W LED so i'm watching your grow with interest, going better than your first time around, eh ;+}

Some questions :

1. What is the distance from light to plant top ?

2. How man ml per L nutes are you using ?

I ask because of the very slight yellowing on the leaves, could be :

1. Not enough nutes.
2. Too much nutes.
3. LED too close (should be about a foot above plant canopy.

Hi Steely ~ Thanks for taking an interest in my grow! :stylez rasta smoke: I can't promise perfection but my second grow seems to be better than my first, although the first grow has improved its potency over time. Live and learn... :D:

1. The distance from my 90w led to the canopy has varied as the plant matures. Because I have a low watt led I can therefore put the led closer to the plant. The company I bought my led from recommends that the 90w led be 30mm (12 inches) - 60 mm (24 inches) above the canopy during veg. and 15 mm (6 inches) or closer during flowering and fruiting. Their next model of led is a 180w led, so the distances are further due to the higher strength of the led. I've tried to stay close to this guide, but the plant vedged so quickly causing some of the leaves to turn brown/yellow at the end. Probably the result of being too close to the led is my guess. Hasn't been detrimental to the fruiting stage though!

2. I've tried to follow the FloraDuo nutes feeding schedule, but this strain drinks like a sailor on land. I would reckon that the slight yellowing on the leaves are more the result of the led being too close at times rather than from too much nutes. I've actually fed her less nutes than recommended and she's still matured quickly! Hop digity

Let me know if I can be of more help. The more I grow the more I know! :tip hat:

AKR, maybe I'll try that strain next. :smokebuds:

You're right, cm not mm. My bad... :Stones slap:

Glad I could help. :tiphat:

Day 44 from germination ~ The nugs are becoming larger and even more frosty, more pistols are turning brown and such a sweeeeeeet scent! I've also noticed that some of her leaves are turning yellow, as steely pointed out. She may have just a few weeks to go. I haven't fed her nutes very often although some of the leaves have turned brown on their tips, probably due to being too close to the led light.

Onwards fellow knights to the pics:

Those buds are looking nice bro. I think I'm going have to try purple kush again on my next grow... my last seed didn't make it.

Thanks! Purple Kush is extremely easy to grow, it's fast and doesn't require much attention. :dance2:

Day 49 from germination ~ More of the same i.e. she's putting on weight but her smell is more of a berry flavour now.
