They are in good company?

Oh please....tell me I have a female SD?
P1010452.jpg

If so? She's a chunky thing! :) no offence to fucunditliatie challenge'de peeps!

Otherwise, a much larger bub
P1010450.jpg
blegum remnant (fuck knows who stuck his 'gum' in my tent!) looks a bit empty in there?

Rest of the boys are soaking up the UK outdoor life! :snow2: , they will be ok, actually there may be a female for them all to try and impregnate!
See photos in another post?

Peace, Love and the icons! :WTF:

Sorry, peace :peace:.....................I would just like a girl!

Mikey.

Edit, needs to be son.........:pighug:

Henry becomes Henrietta?

Okey Dokey! Let's get this Dragon grow thread going........................had a quiet couple of days off to think about/research the art of Dragon-training. The genetics are there and it's just a question of getting the best out of them? Been fun looking at other AFN members published growing techniques successful or otherwise!

On side note:
(Nice to have my own 'personal use' stash again, it's been a help going thru all the threads searching for Dragon traits. 94g of bud and 60 grams of first class trim dry is my best from a single plant so far! Small spuds yeah! I'm happy thou, it's organic (as far as I'm concerned!) and I enjoyed growing Wilma with a fine group of reprobates you could only find here at AFN!)

So the boring bit (for those of you who don't know?)

Equipment:

Secret Jardin DR90 Grow tent

Sunmate 110w CFL
X3 189 Pro LED Lighting Unit

4" Rhino carbon filter
4" RUK Extraction fan
Intake fan - Passive still
SMSCom Dual fan controller

Cheap (Aldi's) Dehumidifier
Generic Hygrometer/Clock

15l Airpots (more than likely other sizes too!)

Consumables:

Root Riots
Plagron Light Mix Compost
Bio-Bizz Nutrients

(Been to the grow shop to see if 'Product X' aka Acti-Vera from Bio-Bizz is available yet, should be here in this country very soon, it's available in mainland Europe only at the moment.)

Tap Water (pH 7.3 straight from the tap)
Growth Technology Liquid Silicon (pH up)

pH meters:

Soil and Solutions - Lultron PH212
Run off (if needed)- pH Essentials meter

Genetics:

Dragons muha...:xlaugh:

The Plan:

5 Stone Dragon's SD's
3 Blood Stone's BS's

I'm going back to the: soak beans and then into root riots, method and then 3 of each into the 15l airpots.

The 2 extra SD's are for TA tinkering! What's TA? Tiered Airpots, it was the subject of some intense debate a few months back and I have a few ideas to try out on that front! I'm going to hold back on the Black Stones for a while as I'm going to be short of growing space until I commit to a new tent.

:pH Reading..?:

Strange as it may seem, I have tried to sex the SD's using an old (state of the art in the 70's!) 100X works microscope! Only found one definite contender for a male.................sorry....................they seem to be mainly female? If I can find the thread/article, I will link it here. () Interesting stuff (said in a Germanic tone)?

The Blood stones are unsexed, pot luck for me on those!

I think I have covered the basics here, beans will be going into soak this evening, any thoughts? Then please feel free to chime in!

Let the wrymlings/whelps arise!!

Dude that youtube link on sexing may just be an incredible game changer for me. Thanks for posting :worship:

Firstly, I should apologise for the somewhat stoned post early this morning! :smoking:

Dude that youtube link on sexing may just be an incredible game changer for me. Thanks for posting :worship:

I will say that for me, that sexing method has not worked out too well. Out of the seeds which "looked" female under the microscope not one has been a female, hence the frustration in the post. I have one SD outside in the greenhouse which may yet be a female and one in the tent which I'm calling Henrietta for good luck, as this was the only seed I thought would be a male?

Maybe Dragons don't show their sex as shown in the vid, although if I recall correctly (without looking at the vid again) these were auto flowering seeds.

Everythings looking super heathy mate. Lol Im confused arent they all ladies in the tent?

There is just one SD and one 00 Seeds auto bubblegum in the tent at the moment, I've put everything else on hold for a while as I may have to do some traveling in the next month or so.

Great growing bro.

Thanks TaNg! That means a lot coming from you sir! :pass:

mikey is running with the dragon's:biggrin::dragon4:i would like to watch, if you don't mind? I have three dragon cross's going
best sleep med's on planet earth! (any dragon) :dragon6::cheers::pass::bighug:

Glad to have you here, what crosses are you running and I'm sure I was subbed to your dragon journal on the old system?

I will update photo's later when I get home from work and hopefully the 2 SD's will have shown sex by then?

No worries about the stoned "like" this morning. Good vibes are good vibes :pass:. Too bad about the unreliable sexing. Guess I'll have to keep doing some research for a more accurate way to tell:sadcry: Got all excited because i have these Jamaican land race seeds with great strong genetics but a limited growing space so of course reliable sexing without wasting time and expensive nutes is of great interest to me. Still your plants both male and female are looking healthy so you'll at the very least end up with some bud to smoke and some great pollen stored for cross breeding. :goodluck:

Do I have a girl? Photo update and I still can't make my mind up!

They are all very happy but, it leaves me thinking......................what do we do with boys and girls?

as in the greenhouse?
P1010458.jpg

How do you select the best pollen and store for future use?

Day 33
Well, it's confirmed! Henrietta is Henrietta!!
P1010460.jpg

P1010463.JPG

P1010464.JPG

:pass::greencheck:

Now the questions begin:

I have the greenhouse with 5 males (3 Blood Stones and 2 Stone D's) and 1 solitary female Stone Dragon all in 2 15litre airpots. There is pollen everywhere!
P1010467.jpg

1. Should I cull the SD males and let the BS's impregnate the SD?
P1010470.jpg

(My thinking behind this is, anyone tried to make this cross? Or should I

just let the male SD's do their thing with a female SD?)

2. If I have made a mistake(?) with pollen everywhere....is it too late?

Ok, that may well be a fact and now here is the question: best ways of storing/saving male genes? (I have a constant supply of Liquid Nitrogen available to myself, the only research I've know about/found/seen on storing pollen in this method is this viable or am I getting ahead of myself?)
:WTF:
Interjection by myself! Blue asked the question:
Oooh You Multi-Pottin' Mutha Chuggah!! :) hehe
Very nice - And very nice to get the extra Black Stone! (Femmed too!) :)

Are you multipotting the regs to remove the males?? Or hoping for a sneaky cheeky pollination for a seed stock?

Yes, I've potential seed production! Oh!! And another thing, why have I still got to like all the post's in this thread................................again?

Shite, 2 many ?'s!

Peace and Love (as always!) to us all! :redcard::peace:

Pre Edit, So looking forward to my SD Med's
