Grow Room Minimum height for grow tent with LED lighting

Hey all,,,

My closet is about 23" deep, the next size down from the 24" tents is 16x16x48, but it seems that is not tall enough when growing with LED lighting.

I have some Fuge State seeds, 65% sativa autos so these might grow a little tall from what I'm reading.

Never did this before, haven't bought any supplies yet but have about $200 more to spend between the light and the tend. Any recommendations?

Hello BazookaJay - I realize that you posted this last month, but I thought that I would make a reply. I'm new too. For my setup, I wanted a tent that I could fit in my bathtub and found one that is 36"x20"x62". This is a bit bigger than the one you found, but is smaller that your max requirement of 23". Since you are in a closet, you could probably line it with reflective material (lots of posts about what is best to use on AFN) that would probably save you some money on not having to purchase a tent.

I've have been learning a lot from reading posts on AFN, but there is nothing like experiencing it yourself. I put two plants (Tangerine Dream Auto & Critical Purple Auto) in 3 gal fabric pots for my first grow and it has completely filled up my 36"x20"x62" tent (light is also as high as it will go)...might even be too full. Next time I will probably only put one plant in there and I bet it will still fill it up. I couldn't imagine putting one in a 16"16". Again, I'm new and others probably can help more than me, but I thought I would let you know about my tent and what I have experienced...so far.

I actually wound up putting this tent in a doorless shower. You can probably fit 2 plants side by side, but even with 1 it's beginning to fill up the tent. Next grow, I will probably move up to 3 gallon, or grow to plants in 2 gallon pots.

hi mate ive got a 40cmx40cmx100cm tent and a 50x50x140 tent use a mars hydro 300 and both ive had the light pretty close to colas like 20cm and not noticed any burn on any colas or top buds that is with photos im currently on my first auto grow currently got gorilla glue and weat coast og at week 7 and all is goin well cant beleve the rate the grow at️
